They were marked out of 100 in various criteria with the highest scores moving on to semi-finals and finals. It was a great success at unearthing talents such as Victoria Wood, Malandra Burrows (the youngest ever winner), Showaddywaddy, Les Dennis, Lenny Henry, Jim Davidson, Roy Walker, Gary Wilmot and Patti Boulaye (among others). Maybe Megson will unearth some talent in the current squad. Well done Gary on coming up with such an innovative approach.

At the end of the day, if I was put in charge of a new club, I would want to sign some players of my own and not just use what is there.

With a clown of a chairman and a moron of a manager, we're already a laughing stock. It will hardly ruin our reputation if we sign a convict, in fact it's something that you'd expect from Milan Mandaric with his dodgy dealings.
