mancunianfox Posted 4 October 2007 Posted 4 October 2007 Nobody seems to have really posted anything about the game on Saturday. It'll probably be another 5-3-2 although I doubt he'll play Hume in midfield. -----------------Fulop----------------- -----McAuley-N'Gotty-Kisnorbo----- -Stearman------------------Mattock- -----------Kish--------King----------- -----------------Hume----------------- -------------Fryatt--Cort-------------- Subs: Henderson, Chambers, Sheehan, Newton, Campbell
Simi Posted 4 October 2007 Posted 4 October 2007 Relegation six pointer Fulop N Gotty Kisnorbo McAuley Stearman..Kaebi not fit? Mattock Hume Clemence (?) King Fryatt Campbell
mancunianfox Posted 4 October 2007 Author Posted 4 October 2007 Relegation six pointer I really think your wrong on that one. We will win this game either 2-1 or 2-0.
Fat Ron Posted 4 October 2007 Posted 4 October 2007 Surely we must go for consiustancy and the only change being Clem in for King providing he is fit? It isnt helping the team settle if its a different 11 every game.

Thracian Posted 4 October 2007 Posted 4 October 2007 We need to win, simple as that. With a five man defence there is only need for one defensive midfielder. Fulop; Stearman, McAuley, N'Gotty, Kisnorbo, Mattock; Hume, King, Clemence/Kishishev, Cort, Fryatt Subs: Henderson, Chambers, Sheehan, Campbell, Newton.
dandannieldanok Posted 4 October 2007 Posted 4 October 2007 Kavanagh will bully Andy King out of the game.
Mark Posted 4 October 2007 Posted 4 October 2007 Fulop NGotty Kisnorbo McAuley Stearman Mattock Kishishev King Hume Fryatt Campbell / Cort That's about the best we can hope for.
Joe. Posted 4 October 2007 Posted 4 October 2007 I think it'll be: Fulop N'Gotty McAuley Kisnorbo Hume Chambers Kishsishev King Mattock Cort Fryatt
TheBlinding Posted 4 October 2007 Posted 4 October 2007 Relegation six pointer Fulop N Gotty Kisnorbo McAuley Stearman..Kaebi not fit? Mattock Hume Clemence (?) King Fryatt Campbell That's what I'd play but no doubt Chambers will be in central midfield and Hume and Fryatt will be upfront
Thracian Posted 4 October 2007 Posted 4 October 2007 Kavanagh will bully Andy King out of the game. We'll see and if he does Kingy's got to cope just as others have had to do before him. Matty Fryatt's not much older but he faces big, strong opponents every week and doubtless King find the same. He's shown he can more than manage at other levels so now he's facing another challenge. Teams are not going to take their hard-cases out just because we're playing a few youngsters and , in my experience, kids can be just as brave and determined as older guys. And if Kavanagh's going to get at him he'll need to be sharp because Kingy rarely takes more than two touches to make a pass and, in a free role, covers a lot of ground and turns up all over the place. I don't known how the tussle will turn out but Kavanagh, I imagine, will have problems of his own to solve. And if he doesn't who's to say any of our other midfielders would do any better. Our recent record at Shefffield has hardly been impressive.
Webbo Posted 4 October 2007 Posted 4 October 2007 FulopNGotty Kisnorbo McAuley Stearman Mattock Kishishev King Hume Fryatt Campbell / Cort That's about the best we can hope for. I'd agree with that, I probably arrange the CBs differently though.

Jack Posted 4 October 2007 Posted 4 October 2007 For me it would be: Fulop N'Gotty McAuley Kisnorbo Kaebi if fit/Stearman Mattock Clem if fit/King Kishishev Chambers Fryatt Campbell
Thracian Posted 4 October 2007 Posted 4 October 2007 For me it would be:Fulop N'Gotty McAuley Kisnorbo Kaebi if fit/Stearman Mattock Clem if fit/King Kishishev Chambers Fryatt Campbell If we play five men at the back why would we need three essentially defensive midfielders? I know Megson even plays King as a holding midfielder - making effectively eight defenders in all - but at least he CAN attack, shoot and score. I doubt that Chambers, Kishishev and Clemence will finish the season with six goals between them.

filbertway Posted 4 October 2007 Posted 4 October 2007 I think it'll be:Fulop N'Gotty McAuley Kisnorbo Hume Chambers Kishsishev King Mattock Cort Fryatt Joe, why not swap chambers and Hume?
stevie909 Posted 4 October 2007 Posted 4 October 2007 will someone please, please tell me where kaebi is. don't care if he is crap. he has played at international level, and is aparrently very quick. ok so we want to win games, but if we are going to try and king out, i think it is frankly absolutely BONKERS that this lad or ferreria as well have not even been given a chance, bar the reserves.
Thracian Posted 4 October 2007 Posted 4 October 2007 will someone please, please tell me where kaebi is. don't care if he is crap. he has played at international level, and is aparrently very quick. ok so we want to win games, but if we are going to try and king out, i think it is frankly absolutely BONKERS that this lad or ferreria as well have not even been given a chance, bar the reserves. If Kaebi shows serious flaws in the reserves why would Gary Megson risk his credibility by putting the bloke in the first team? The answer for Kaebi is simple. Once he regains fitness he should go over the videos with the coaches and see a) If he can be tried in the reserves as a right sided attacker and b) if he can do something to work on his weaknesses quickly and effectively. As for Ferreira his first job is to get properly fit. He didn't look anywhere near that even before his hamstring problem. Didn't we have enough last season with playing people who were less than fully fit. We did it with several players and it backfired every time. Fans ask for professionalism from the club management yet would themselves take the most unjustified and probably unnecessary risks.

Possibly have Jonny Hayes on the bench if he's put in a weeks training without picking up an injury.
