So what if he was a bit of a maverick with a nutty tendency - the results appeared to be coming. I liked Allen, but if we are honest, 1 good result doesnt make him great. Does it? His signings were less than impressive, with only Fulop and Clem making any real impact to the side we had from last season.

No you're right - I was just very disappointed when he left after such a fantastic result and thought that progress was being made. Now we're in a right ****ing state!
