On Sky Sports News they have changed the Yellow Breaking News Ticker to:

"Portsmouth confirm Harry Redknapp and Chief Executive Peter Storrie among five men arrested over alleged corruption in football."

"Reports: The other three arrested are Milan Mandaric, Amdy Faye, & agent Willie McKay"

The word that worries me and has been changed is "are" - "The other three arrested are..."

And Portsmouth have released a statement saying it relates back to 2003...And who owned Portsmouth in 2003?!

My guess,he would have been arrested early doors, house ransacked, and released on bail, and home in time to see liverpool beat those porto fookers

Nothing will come of this i hope for our sake, only the fact that it might fook up HR's chances of getting the england job, which, whichever side of the fence you sit on,that might be a good thing or bad thing

SKY SPORTS

Portsmouth have confirmed that Harry Redknapp and Peter Storrie have been arrested by police investigating corruption in football.

Reports had claimed that Redknapp and Storrie were among five people to have been arrested in raids on Wednesday.

According to the Evening Standard's This Is London website, Leicester City chairman Milan Mandaric, Rangers midfielder Amdy Faye and football agent Willie McKay were also arrested.

The City of London Police's economic unit headed the raid which is part of the same ongoing investigation which saw Tottenham defender Pascal Chimbonda arrested in September.

Police confirmed earlier on Wednesday that five men - aged 69, 60, 55, 48 and 30 - had been arrested following raids.

Arrests

A spokeswoman for the Police said: "Five men have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud and false accounting as part of an ongoing investigation into football corruption.

"Three searches are currently under way. Five additional searches at a variety of locations across the country have been concluded."

The Police's investigation is separate to that of the Quest inquiry which was launched last year by the Football Association with Lord Stevens at the helm

Two people have told me they've been arrested for dodgey dealings with Andy Faye?

The whole megson coming here after not working for 1 year or so, never signing a contract, then conveniently going to bolton 6 weeks later with 300k compo was very dodgy.

Maybe something to do with that? Someone made some money from that...

I don't know what to say.

Or do.

Can't really comment untill you know the outcome of the matter.

From TFF

Everyone mentioning Pompey - but what about Leicester. The charges of which they are apparently being held are conspiracy to defraud and false accounting. Depending on the severity those charges carry a stint in prison if found guilty - but for those involved it could also mean the FA giving them the - 'Never being allowed to be involved with a football club at any level, for the rest of their lives.'

Thats the worst case scenario for all involved and obviously Pompy would lose a manager and Chef Exc. Faye wouldn't be allowed to play - but Leicester would lose their owner - where would that leave the club?

The only case I know that happened anywhere like this is Anton Johnson at Southend when he was chairman- in the 80's he de-frauded the football club of nearly £1M - found guilty he went to prison and was never allowed to work in football again - being deemed an un-fit person to be at a club.
