The Reverend Posted 19 December 2007 Posted 19 December 2007 Didnt Sheffield Wednesday's form vastly improve when Kavanagh joined them? May have just been a conincidence but I find it strange that people seem to be judging him based on one game against us.As for Connolly, he is a good finisher, but he needs the chances and at the moment we dont create enough. He would be a decent signing if we sort our midfield out. Yes it did. Get him in.
Father Ted Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 Sunderland's Graham Kavanagh and David Connolly are targets for Norwich and Leicester. (Telegraph)
LCFC2007 Posted 22 December 2007 Posted 22 December 2007 I think Graham Kavanagh would be a tough tackling midfielder to work alongside Clemence and David Connolly should be able to get some goals for us so all in all these should be two good signings.

Daggers Posted 23 December 2007 Posted 23 December 2007 I think Graham Kavanagh would be a tough tackling midfielder Did he manage to do that at Wednesday? No. He is not the player he was on FM07.
frenzal Posted 29 December 2007 Posted 29 December 2007 Milan has confirmed offers for Kavanagh and Fulop on an interview on World.
davieG Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 Watford move late for Sunderland midfielder 10:42 January, 8, 2008 Graham Kavanagh has emerged as a target for the Hornets The experienced Irish international is free to leave the Stadium of Light during January and is also wanted by Leicester City.
dpjfox Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 Kav is probably a back-up if we fail to land Norris (assuming Bori signs and is to play wide right)
SamL Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 Watford move late for Sunderland midfielder 10:42 January, 8, 2008 Graham Kavanagh has emerged as a target for the Hornets The experienced Irish international is free to leave the Stadium of Light during January and is also wanted by Leicester City. After what has happened to Fulop, it looks as though he wants other teams to have to pay over the odds for his players. I'd rather Kavanagh go to Watford and for us to sign someone younger to fill the same position than alot of money. Unless of course we were able to get him on a free/loan deal, even then I feel we could do better.
morris1234 Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 http://www.tribalfootball.com/article.php?id=72844 Leicester City are set to land Sunderland midfielder Graham Kavanagh. Watford have made a last-ditch attempt to land the midfielder, who has been told he can leave Sunderland. But boss Ian Holloway is prepared to offer the Republic of Ireland star a whopping salary to join Leicester.

Lineker's Left Foot Posted 8 January 2008 Posted 8 January 2008 Blimey we seem to beat Watford to every player at the moment, including DJ Campbell... god they must hate us. I know there's been a couple more !!

Jon the Hat Posted 9 January 2008 Posted 9 January 2008 A whooping salary for half a year until he retires my arse. But he won't pay £3mil for Fulop. Holloways a tosser. Riiiiight. So we don't have a midfielder who can find his arse with both hands and you want us to spend all our cash on Fulop... When we have just loaned the England U21 keeper for what is most likely sod all.

morris1234 Posted 9 January 2008 Posted 9 January 2008 http://www.sunderland-mad.co.uk/news/loadn...W&id=371220 Graham Kavanagh is hoping for a prolonged stay with Sunderland. The veteran midfielder, who is available on a free-transfer, made his first start of the season in the FA Cup 3rd Round defeat to Wigan at the weekend. "I would prefer not to move on, if I'm honest," he has said. "I want to be playing, obviously, but we'll wait and see what happens in the next three or four weeks. "I played on Saturday and was in the squad at Blackburn. "Hopefully I will be in the squad for the Portsmouth game next weekend and we'll take it from there." interesting, i didnt even know he was available on a free??!!
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 9 January 2008 Posted 9 January 2008 ...or alternatively they breathe a sigh of relief! Yes Collins John.. albeit on loan, but that's another player we've beat the Hornets too

I reckon they are playing him with a 'for sale' sign on the back of his shirt....... or more likely 'an RSPCA' sign- hoping someone will take him and walk him and love him as his old owners keep him locked in the shed. If he wanted to come, it'd be done by now.
