Koke Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 Our initial allocation of 3000 tickets is now sold out, however another 2000 are due on Tuesday apparently Are you sure? Can anyone tell us how the atmosphere was when we took 5.000 down there last time? Was it anything like Nottingham Forest?

Maybes Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 It was awesome when we took 5000. Not as good as forest away mind. Still was pretty good. Can't wait to beat these bunch of scummers.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 I was on holiday the time we took 5,000 but I heard from various people that the atmosphere was really ordinary? I doubt we'd reach 5,000 this time if we've only just done 3,000.

We probably wouldnt have sold out.

It has a lot to do with the fact that Cov is just down the road. I'm sure we took 3.000 to Derby last season as well. And we were ****ing shite.

Daggers Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 It has a lot to do with the fact that Cov is just down the road. That and the kids going to a fancy dress party so I have the afternoon off! I hope there's still space at the back of the bandwagon - I'll not be wanting to sit next to driver.

LeeCovFox Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 I've got a student ticket but I am not a student anymore. I'm hoping I don't get asked to show any ID. The stewards at Cov can be arseholes when it come to student tickets. My mate is a Sheff Utd fan and we went to their game at the Ricoh, and he ended up having to pay another 24 quid for a ticket, with the home fans, on top of the tenner he had paid for his student ticket in the away end because he no longer had valid student ID.
Floating Fox Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 Are you sure? Can anyone tell us how the atmosphere was when we took 5.000 down there last time? Was it anything like Nottingham Forest? Crap. The only decent noise we made was abusing Dennis wise. Hopefully better this time. For those looking for parking, have a look in the small towns north of the M6 - It's only 15mins walk & you get away easier. No parking near the ground.

I've never had trouble parking in Longford, which is around 10 minutes walk away. Most of the pubs in the area offer match day parking, although a fiver is steep to be honest.

It's not down to the stewards though. That would be down to the turnstyle operator. All you'd have to say is that our club have sold you the ticket, you've shown them the ID, so why would you need to bring it here?

To be honest we tried every excuse in the book, including the one mentioned. The chances are the fella we spoke to was just being particularly testy that day. The moral of the story I guess, is that if you are going to by tickets and haven't got the relevant ID for your concession, then you do so at your own risk. I should imagine you will be okay though, thats the only time I've encountered a problem of that kind.
Joe. Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 If anybody here who has two young adult tickets at the back wishes to swap for two on row JJ please say/PM. Long shot I know but hey
Sods Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 The atmosphere with 5000 leicester fans was actually one of the biggest dissapointments ive ever had at a game. Everyone was exicited of taking 5000 and being at Covs ground for the 1st time and seeing Dennis Wise, after 5 minutes it was poor.

Exactly just say you havn't got your NUS on you and thats its at home. You showed it to the LCFC ticket office who gave you the ticket. They cant really touch you to be honest. Never had any problems over the past 2 years or so. Quite funny as in the email the lady at the ticket office reminds me to take student ID as it will be required yeah!

Simi Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 Hopefully you shouldn't if it's a barcode system, but I've not used this type of turnstile before so not sure! There's still an operator in the turnstile, he just doesn't rip the stub off. I might just drive to this to be honest!!Have to look for a decent car park though, dont want my car being smashed up by them little fooking chav cov-scumers!! Car parking information can be found in the sticky thread.

There is a car park just off the motorway junction that I will be using. I will post the link later once I have booked my spot its £4.30 rising to £5 on the day. 15 minute walk from the ground. 2minute walk from the pub..SAFE

I don't understand this "street" talk. Would somebody be kind enough to describe to me the concept of "brap".
Nath Posted 18 February 2008 Posted 18 February 2008 Correct me if im wrong, but Coleman hasn't even been anounced? Even if he is, he will be taking over a weaker side to what played us only the other month. ...Adebola was by far there best player, along with Best, but now Adebola's gone, Best wont be half the player he was.
