mancunianfox Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 If you pass does it qualify you to run football clubs in the East Midlands? I think you have to have done at leasy the advanced stupidity and pigheadedness modules before they'll let you anywhere near one.
breadandcheese Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 If Alnwick was worth £900,000 and Fulop £500,000 when moving in opposite directions, in the battle of third choice keepers, Alnwick must be worth £5 million. Ridiculous Sunderland demanding £3 million for a third choice keeper when offering only £2.5 million for a proven premiership player in Stephen Hunt. I feel sorry for Fulop. I wonder if we'll go back in for Fulop at the end of the season if he's not sold. On another note, how many loan players are we allowed at anyone time/in a season? Currently we've got two (Alnwick and Zsolt) with possibly a third on the way (that other Hungarian).
davieG Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 I think you have to have done at leasy the advanced stupidity and pigheadedness modules before they'll let you anywhere near one. Not forgetting the round pegs in sqaure holes option!
Thracian Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 I've seen him play once, Cov vs Sunderland opening day of last season, he seemed pretty competent.I like this from wikipedia about him: Orgy Sex Tape Scandal On December 7, 2006, tabloid newspaper The Sun reported Alnwick, along with team-mates Chris Brown and Liam Lawrence had filmed themselves in an orgy with a brunette girl referred to as 'Stevie', (Stevie Leigh Mason - Miss Sunderland). In the video, Brown is said to give "Match of the Day" style commentary as his team-mates perform sexual acts on the girl. Former Sunderland midfielder Martin Woods also features on the tape partially clothed performing a sex act on himself, along with two other men. On December 8, The Sun reported that the girl in the video was just 16 years old, with the girl claiming she had no idea she was being filmed. And we want clean sheets!

I don't get footballers I really don't, surely the way to have group sex is with alot of girls not a shit load of other blokes.

Trav Le Bleu Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Does anyone actually know if he's any good? Well, Paul Robinson is keeping him out of the Spurs first team! But gotta be better than Hendo
Scow Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 It's got to be better than the current crop of shit we've got. Having Fulop here has hit home how poor Henderson really is. To be fair to him though, he did get his kicking past the half way line.

If we want to keep clean sheets Holloway's got to threaten him with a roasting at full time for any goals conceded
Jonezy Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Yes a keeper....!!! Never seen him play, but if he is the U21 top choice he cant be bad. Just saw his interview, and he states that when Fulop went he was hoping to get a loan with us. He know Stearman and Mattock, and have always thought he would play for us one day. He actually wants to play for us.... Now Ollie, get the Lee Matin deal sorted.....

Ultra Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Does anyone actually know if he's any good? I remember seeing him play against us in 04-05 at the Stadium of Light. I wasn't impressed. This is a signing with the message "Will this do?" attached to it. For the sake of all concerned, it had better do!
Jonezy Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Howard said that he really wanted to play for us too. Make of that what you will. Yes, but it was the way Ben said it. Sounded sincere..... Howard said, that Ollie convinced him if I remember correctly.....
Ultra Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Yes a keeper....!!!Never seen him play, but if he is the U21 top choice he cant be bad. It doesn't prove anything. Mattock's the current U21 leftback but he hasn't exactly set the Championship alight.
MC Prussian Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 You might call me superstitious, but all keepers born Capricorn turned out to be class. Just look at Gordon Banks.
Thracian Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 You might call me superstitious, but all keepers born Capricorn turned out to be class.Just look at Gordon Banks. Quality birth sign. None like it!
Phlashman Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Just seen the video they ut up on the site an it seems he really wants to be here. He was asking for the move as soon as he knew Marton was going and before anyone at city contacted spurs. If he's good we might have found a good reason for having Stearman!
blue blood Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Not if the experience is the sort of experience we've got used to over recent seasons. I did try to have some faith in experience this season but Kishishev, Newton, Ferreira, Clemence, Cort, John, Henderson, McAuley, Nielsen, DeVries and Maybury later I simply not impressed. Age wise, this signing's fine so long as he's got some ability and application. That is true. I hope he does not go the way of Mark Yates and Ryan Smith etc. He will be in straight at the deep end, sink or swim?
Alexikokopops Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 It doesn't prove anything. Mattock's the current U21 leftback but he hasn't exactly set the Championship alight. Surely he can't be worst than Henderson though? I'm pretty sure that'd be breaking some kind of law of physics.
blue blood Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 Maybe they bat for both teams. statistically there are somewhere between 1 homosexuals to 8 hetrosexuals* If this the case with a squad of around 36 players we may have somwewhere in the region of 4.5 homosexuals at citeh. *http://www.avert.org/hsexu1.htm
The Reverend Posted 7 January 2008 Posted 7 January 2008 It doesn't prove anything. Mattock's the current U21 leftback but he hasn't exactly set the Championship alight. Is he bollocks. Played one match because of injuries No doubting this lads pedigree, very good young keeper in my opinion. Listened to his interview on world aswel, sounded very, very positive, as someone else said, like he desperately wants to play for the club, very eager. Said he made his debut against us and has always liked the club, and before we even enquired about him, he came to us when he knew about Fulop going back. Very positive.
