The Reverend Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 We need to get sme Kasabian on. Heard some other team on The Championship earlier playin a Kasabian song before K.O, pissed me right off.
BigGibbo Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Oh lord how am i still alive! What a magical day(&night).
LCFC2007 Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Leicester were brilliant yesterday. I thought that they created more chances in this match than any other match so far this season. As for the new players they all played really well and it looks like we have got a Ronaldo on our hands. (Zsolt Laczko).
Simi Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 We need to get sme Kasabian on. Heard some other team on The Championship earlier playin a Kasabian song before K.O, pissed me right off. We shouldn't have any music before kick off in my opinion. I've not got a problem with Hey Jude really, although they should cut the bit where it says Hey Jude so you can hear the Leicester bit a lot better.
Bert Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 We need to get sme Kasabian on. Heard some other team on The Championship earlier playin a Kasabian song before K.O, pissed me right off. Why? Just because they're Leicester fans? If you're going to play a song, it should be something with a high-tempo in, to get everyone pumping.
Jonezy Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 What a fantastic win, and those stats proves it. Heard 1st half on the radio, and then followed 2nd half by the internet. I was with a mate, who supports Forest (of all bloody teams), and he got the Forest game on the radio for the second half. First few minutes all I heard Barber say was Laczko.... The quick goal settled the nerves as well, and we sounded like scoring a second anytime. In the 2nd half, I had the old Leicester feeling of not taking our chances, and some bloody Maltisian scoring an equaliser in the last minute, but no this Leicester side is different, as our supersub wraps it up. Marvelous. Reading all the praising for our team in here as well, and people having an absolutely brilliant day at The Walkers just add to my smirking smile, which has been ever present since yesterday's game. Some people talks about play-offs, but sod that. We wont get there, and we do NOT want to get up this season, as we would be the next contenders for the worst season in the history of the Prem, if we were to by a miracle, to pull it off and get promoted. I love, that Ollie keeps calm and address the fact, that he still wants new players to give him options, and that he still wants to get rid of players not fitting into his plan. This guy address the problems and try to sort them out. This can not be another false hope, can it?? No it can't be, this have to be the bloody turning point.......
FleckneyFox Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Stearman was in the Sun's championship team of the week and was our only player in there WTF!
Matt Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Stearman was in the Sun's championship team of the week and was our only player in there WTF! Yeah I saw that in NOTW, I was laughing, Where the fook was Laczko?!

Hang on, are you saying Kasabian have no high tempo songs that get people up for it?! Come on Bert! And yes because they are Leicester lads. Whats wrong with that? Give me any Kasabian song over Chelsea Dagger, which is played everywhere and is shit.
Staf Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Unfortunatelty i missed yesterday game because i have the sickness bug but i have read alot of reports and by the sounds of it we were good can someone tell me what squad number Matt Oakley was

Bryn Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 I'd be wary getting our new signings numbers on the back of your shirt. Howard will almost certainly take up the no. 9 shirt vacated by Cort as soon as he can, and I can't imagine players like Oakley keeping a shirt no. in the 30s when we shift out the deadwood.

Good point actually i was going to get Oakley on the away shirt but now you said that i will wait to next year because i think he will be number 8 next year

Matt Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 One of our best performances in years... It's been weird this season on a whole we have been poor, but when we've played well, we've played awesome, Yesterdays game was one of our best performances in years, but I could name a few decent games we have had this season, but as I said on a whole we have been poor most of the season.

Daggers Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 we should NEVER have any tunes with the word CH**SEA in it At least the other word has a certain je ne sais quoi to it though
demon_dog Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 Only just managed to find time to add my two pennorth. Absolutely fantastic result. At last we seem to be building a team that seems to play with pride and passion. All of the new signings played well, considering that this is the first time they've played a match together they did an excellent job. At last some decent wingers, a creative midfield and strikers who know where the goal is!! Even better news is that Ollie is planning on bringing in possibly four more players as cover in the event of any injuries. Leaving the ground after the match, people I spoke to were very optimistic about the future and looking forward to the next game. If we're not carefull we may get dizzy as we climb even higher.
davieG Posted 16 January 2008 Posted 16 January 2008 Source A disaster that defies explanationJan 16 2008 by Andy Turner, Coventry City reporter IT'S safe to say that Coventry City's players were given a royal dressing down after their pathetic excuse for a performance at the Walkers Stadium. And one can only hope it has the desired effect when the players return to the Ricoh this weekend. It is hard to comprehend exactly what went wrong for so many players to be off their game at the same time, especially as there can be no doubt that they went into the match fully appreciating the importance of the occasion. Tim Flowers, a man who knows all about the passion surrounding the fixture given his Sky Blue roots and the fact that he used to play for the Foxes, summed up the feeling perfectly in the run-up, saying: "We have got Leicester coming up - a big local derby - and if you need lifting for that one you are in the wrong game. "The message is 'fill your boots!' I played for Leicester against Coventry when there was a bit of feeling both ways, so if they are not charged up for that one we are wasting our time." So what went wrong? Maybe they got carried away with their headline grabbing performance at Blackburn Rovers and got complacent. If that was the case they were certainly given a reality check at the Walkers Stadium where most players were at a loss as to why they performed so badly. They could only come to the conclusion that it was just one of those bad days at the office. They happen once or twice a season, of course, but unfortunately and embarrassingly for City fans, it keeps happening at Leicester. And the only hope the supporters have of restoring any semblance of pride for another 12 months is by their team comprehensively turning them over when they come to the Ricoh next month. Before that, the players owe it to the fans to put things right with a vastly improved performance against Burnley on Saturday. The Leicester game has gone now and the best thing for all concerned would be to avoid wallowing in disappointment and look forward to the start of the rest of the season - a campaign that has already produced its fair share of highs already but, for whatever reason, has sunk to an all too familiar position. A team capable of some of the outstanding displays they have achieved so far cannot become liabilities overnight, but now is the time for the players to prove that they are not just going to let the season slip away. With so many out of contract in the summer, they have more than enough incentive over and above pride in their own performance, which should come naturally to each and every professional. One thing for the fans to hang on to before City face the Foxes in little more than five weeks time is Dowie's determination to set the record straight. "I can't wait for the return game, I have got to tell you," he said. "I have got to put that to bed but we need that game to come around quickly." * ON A lighter note, Flowers has explained the reason why he sits in the stands for most of each game, complete with an Action Man-style walkie-talkie. "Iain and I are a bad cocktail at times and end up arguing with everyone on the sidelines," said the assistant manager. "Every decision is wrong and every opposition manager is getting it in the neck, so maybe Frankie Bunn and Iain are a bit more placid. "But you do see the game a bit better up in the stands, looking at shape and I keep in touch with one of those 1970s walkie-talkies which is like a suitcase - you have to strap it to your back!"
