Differently abled through distance supporters relying on Radio Leicester commentary piss me off

Positional sense and runs down the channel is something you won't able to appreciate on the TV, I agree. But the over-all play you can most certainly draw conclusions on who played badly and who played good and analyze the game sort of.

tv also provides different angles, and the effective benefit of hindsight that is the 'action replay'...

its all crap anyway...example:

last week, the mix up between stears and annick- some attendees on here posted stearmean, others said they couldn't tell, two other match reports from attending journalists offered macauley and kisnorbo as the culprits...

i watched the highlights and it looked like annick led stears to think it was covered, and then, which no one on here bothered to mention, it was stearman who covered the goaline to force the angle and cause adebola to hit the post...

so, no one can be relied on as a failproof authority...

Disagree: In the Wigan v Everton game today, I can't remember who laid the ball off into what was no man's land only for someone to suddenly come into shot who had obviously hared it down the wing. I would have appreciated seeing that, instead of starting to laugh at a supposed "better" player. It could have cost me dearly, as I was on a treadmill at the time.

Those are isolated incidents and I do agree it is difficult to appreciate it unless you at the ground.

I've never watched Titus Bramble live but I do know that he's an awful player. You don't need to be at the stadium to know that.

But I do understand where you are coming from though.

Bramble and Heskey for N'Gotty and Fryatt anyone?

Personally I don't comment on the game if I haven't watched it, unless it's something along the lines of "It sounds like ... What's the view on those that went".

This is probably the reason 58% of my posts are in General Chat, because I didn't make it to as many games before this season.

I definitely disagree with people who haven't been to the game correcting people who were there.

Agree with all of that. Some of the games I have been to I get back and read others scores and think ??!!?, but thats up to them. The fact I was at the game gives me the insight to explain why I disagree if I can be bothered. The only way I think you could dispute someones rating when you didn't see the game yourself is if they're way out of whack with everyone elses, even then I wouldn't bother.

Sorry but what do you expect when we are near relegation, i have been to 9 away games this season and i think the away support has been quite good IMO

I expect the support to be vocal and humorous.

I want us to sing the same song at the same time.

I want to hear good songs, not like "small town in ........" or "Monday Tuesday who the fook are Wednesday" or "We're the left side we're the left side......"

Whilst you are entitled to your opinion, I too am entitled to mine. Now I've told you why I think we're embarrassing, you tell me why you think we're good. See if you can change my mind.

Like I said, some of our supporters are embarrassing.

PS, my last game was the Play Off Final against Crystal Palace.

stupid thread that's designed to get supporters to argue with eachother.

same team lads. Perhaps you'd like a hierarchy of people allowed to comment on games.

With er....... you at the top perhaps?

Radio Leicester as poor as it is, is great as with out it i would have nothing. Althought i never really comment on how players played as rating how individuals played from the radio is immpossible. Immposible to tell who played well or not only if they are really good. I still like checking on how well individuals played by looking at the stats and the player ratings from this site. I only ever really comment on how the side went as a whole not what Individuals played well or not but i look forward to hearing how well they played from the people that went to the game and from the people who go week in week out from the player ratings thread and i just do it because i love LCFC and radio Leicester (which i found during the Watford game this year) is my only chance to find out what is happening in games and i enjoy it as for the previous few years all i had was the soccernet.com gamecast which is shite and it is also a hell of a lot better than going to bed and trying to find out how we went in the morning with out actually knowing what happened.

I know people aren't haveing a crack at people who can't get to games etc, but people have to remember that Radio Leicester is better than nothing and sometimes my only chance to hear how the goal came about, who had a lot of possesion It is also a real buzz just to listen to the leicester fans going nuts after a goal as i may never actually get to see an LCFC game live again in my life (and i'm only 21) as i simple can't afford it and have no family in Leicester to make it even feasable for a short two week stay.

Going back to the thread, as appose to the constant slagging off which seemingly dominates Foxestalk, I can never offer an opinion on a game unless I have watched it, and personally I don't believe that the radio gives you enough information, whether it be 5Live Talksport or Radio Leicester, simply because you can't see the game. You can form your own opinion based on the commentators opinion, but that's it.

It doesn't apply to me anymore but in the past I've been at games where I was so drunk that a non-English speaking Mexican listening to Radio Leicester on a crystal set would be able to tell you more about the game than I could.

The same goes for those Stone Island clad teenage warriors of freedom that spend most of the game facing away from the pitch either scowling at the away fans or staring adoringly at the slightly bigger boys sat behind them. Being at a game doesn't necessarily qualify you as an expert as to what happened in it

It's just common sense really, obviously if you've been to game your able to form your own opinion, while radio coverage will genrally give you nothing but an outline and John Barbers opinion. I do hate radio listeners moaning about "how crap we were today" Especially after narrow defeats and goaless draws.

On the flip side if we lose 9-0 you don't really need to be there to know we were crap.

What I hate about the "I've been to the game shut up" crowd is they take it too far. One game last season I remember we put McAuley up front for the last 5 minutes to win some headers. Which worked fairly well in the last 5, so of course a few that had been to the game said we should start him there. Which I said was a stupid idea, becuase lets face it, it is. But of course, I wasn't at the game, so I'm not allowed to comment on Gareth McAuleys ability as a striker, as a footballer etc etc. While because they witnessed it for all of five minutes, they were the offical experts on the matter.

What do I think about getting 0-0 against Norwich?

Nothing, because I didn't go to the game. I sat at home and listened to bits of the second half - that's all. Yet there's those who, having listened to a bit more Barber & Piper than I could physically manage seem to think they have a valid opinion about the substitutions, our formation and whether or not it was a good result. And those with the most to post on the matter really have the least to contribute.

Bollocks.

If you didn't see the game you don't know shit.

I would tend to agree with this statement but then I believe there are people that actually go to every game and still just talk b*llocks...
