FoxesFan100 Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 New person never heard of him though, so i say good luck. http://www.lcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Lates...1225109,00.html Aldridge Unveiled Posted on: Fri 25 Jan 2008 Leicester City Football Club today (Friday) announced the appointment of Paul Aldridge as Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect. Paul brings a wealth of both Premiership and Championship experience after spending ten years at West Ham United - with the last seven as Managing Director. Chairman Milan Mandaric said: "I extremely pleased to have secured Paul's services. I have known him since my time at Portsmouth and have always been impressed with his professional approach whenever I have dealt with him. He has a great understanding of the industry and I am sure he will play a vital part in my plans for Leicester City." Speaking exclusively to lcfc.com, Paul added: "I was extremely honoured to be offered the chance to join Leicester City. Milan has great plans for the club and I had no hesitation in accepting the challenge. "I always enjoyed my visits to both Filbert Street and the fabulous Walker Stadium and I am determined to play my part in helping return Leicester City back to the Premiership. "I had ten great years at West Ham United including promotion, relegation, two playoff finals, European campaigns and the great FA Cup final in my last full season with the Club. All these experiences have made me stronger and certainly more competent and passionate about the job I love. "I am very excited about the challenges that lie ahead, and will work alongside Milan to turn the fortunes of this proud club around." Paul will start work from Monday and is looking forward to a busy first day, which includes the mouth-watering Championship evening clash against Crystal Palace, in his new surroundings: "I came to the game against Coventry, sat amongst the supporters and could palpably feel the passion they have for both the team and the Club." Once he has settled in Paul has promised to meet as many supporters as possible at both official Club events and informally: "I need to understand all aspects of the club, I see regular dialogue with supporters as vital." Paul has agreed to do a full interview with the Club's official website once he has settled in to his new position.
Bert Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 I thought John Aldridge at first! Let's hope it's a positive appointment.
Fox You Forest Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 I thought John Aldridge at first! Let's hope it's a positive appointment. Me too
jonw88 Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 They had obviously been planning this for a while, Tim Davies' "resignation" was therefore obviously not completely by "mutal consent". Milan obviously wants to bring his own people in, and hopefully he'll do a good job behind the scenes.

I'd have left it a few days before announcing it, but I guess Milan doesn't give a toss about people reading things into this
Ultra Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 What Milan might give a toss about is fans finding out why Aldridge left his post at the hammers. Perhaps this article may give one or two clues..
Monk Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 In an astonishing 26-page ruling, the League's disciplinary commission chairman, Simon Bourne-Arton QC, concluded that while there was no proof that the third-party agreements materially influenced club policies, they allowed for the possibility. He also outlined how West Ham's former chief executive, Paul Aldridge, had told Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore "a direct lie" over the existence of contracts detailing how the Argentine players were owned by four offshore companies. Hmmm

Good old Milan He also outlined how West Ham's former chief executive, Paul Aldridge, had told Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore "a direct lie" over the existence of contracts detailing how the Argentine players were owned by four offshore companies.

Flynny Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 Paul will start work from Monday and is looking forward to a busy first day, which includes the mouth-watering Championship evening clash against Crystal Palace Pardon? Who writes this dross?
Chairman of the Bored Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 Good spot, Ultra. Brought in to help MM cover up the, ahem, proceedings rumbling on in and around Pooroldpompey?
Moreton Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 A wealth of experience should prove very good, Premiereship and Championship, Promotion, Play-Off Finals and relegation should help us along the way.
Chromophobia Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 how can a football match be mouth watering? You can't eat them. What a Chucklehead.
Ultra Posted 25 January 2008 Posted 25 January 2008 Good spot, Ultra. Brought in to help MM cover up the, ahem, proceedings rumbling on in and around Pooroldpompey? You might think that. I couldn't possibly comment..
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 26 January 2008 Posted 26 January 2008 Why is Timothy Spall our new Chief Exec?
Craig Posted 26 January 2008 Posted 26 January 2008 how can a football match be mouth watering? You can't eat them. What a Chucklehead. That's not true is it, don't you remember our 'mouth watering' friendly vs Pompey?!
act smiley Posted 26 January 2008 Posted 26 January 2008 This guy is proper dodgy - at least beforehand it was just mediocrity that we had to put up with
Alexikokopops Posted 26 January 2008 Posted 26 January 2008 What Milan might give a toss about is fans finding out why Aldridge left his post at the hammers.Perhaps this article may give one or two clues.. I'd take us lying and getting fined £5.5 million if we got to stay in the Premiership and comfortably be sitting mid-table the season after. Maybe Milan has his eye on some shadowy Argentinian signings to propel and keep us in the Premiership and he's roped our John (as I will now be calling him) in to lie to everyone about it.
teblin Posted 26 January 2008 Posted 26 January 2008 The circumstances regarding Aldridge's departure from West Ham remain sketchy, although his close links with Kia Joorabchian have been cited as one possible reason for his dismissal. Maybe milan is lining up a someone to take over?
brookfox Posted 26 January 2008 Posted 26 January 2008 Perhaps this article may give one or two clues.. Tevez looks just like a non green version of the Incredible Hulk in this article!
Bryn Posted 26 January 2008 Posted 26 January 2008 I beleve the answer to that question can be found here.
DB11 Posted 26 January 2008 Posted 26 January 2008 I beleve the answer to that question can be found here. What's the point in using Google when I can ask here?
Simon Posted 26 January 2008 Posted 26 January 2008 What's the point in using Google when I can ask here? Why should someone go to the effort of typing a reply to you when you can't even be arsed to at least TRY searching for it yourself? Given what happened at West Ham I am slightly wary of this appointment, obviously I wasn't there so I don't KNOW what happened but what I've read and heard regarding the Tevez affair makes me feel distinctly uneasy. I hope that I'm proven wrong.
