Top Clubs Consider Playing Overseas

The best time to play the games will be in January it will be a mid season break :crylaugh:

This is just another reason why I'm totally unconcerned or interested in rush to get our snouts in the trough that is the Premier League and to think we fans are ignored in the Championship.

The sooner the twats running this league piss off to some Euro Super League the better.

Pathetic.

What the fuk do fans count for nowadays? It just proves what everyone already knows fans count for fuk all, It all about $$$.

This is exactly the reason I don't want us to be in the Premiership, Fair enough it's the place to be, and if we don't want to be there, then your also saying you don't want us doing well in the Championship kind of (i.e - If we're doing well in the Championship, It leads on to getting into the Premiership, e.t.c)

Made me laugh, Of the top of your head what league would you say was the best/most well known league in the world? I would say Premiership no question...But the excuse of this proposal is "to raise the profile of English football and the Premier League" FFS!

It's cutting off the head of football and shitting down its neck.

It's one of the most odious things I've ever heard, and from a sport that's well used to metaphorically bum raping its supporters on a massive scale

To the people that disagree with this...

How many of you would do something pro-active like join in a protest against this?

And what kicked off this idea? Fecking American "Football" coming over here and playing ruining the Wembley pitch days before an International Game which got us knocked out of qualifying for Euro 2008 (Yeah the England players were poor, but let's blame it on the pitch )

Feckin USA! USA! USA!

Why does everything have to be americanised?!

As for the protest's, I may be interested!

P.S - The American Football game that came over here might not have been the reason where this idea originated, but that was certainly the first time I heard of this idea for Premiership football to go abroad

Of course, no point whinging about something if you're not going to try and sort it, even if it is rather a futile gesture. Depending on where I am at the time, also lifts just to make sure I'm not on my lonesome like last time.

Listening to a reporter on TalkSport who was at the conference, he said that when Scudamore was asked whether the fans thoughts would be taken into consideration... he basically laughed at the idea!!!

£££££££££££££££££££££

Thats what the FA want!!!

I personally think its a load of rubbish!!

You mean the Premier League it does nothing for the FA directly

This quote made me want to just kick the bloke who said it in the balls.

Why?

That quote makes me angry, but Mihir Bose isn't supporting the idea, he's just saying that from the Premier League's point of view it is a "logical" move and that's how clubs will view it.

No need to kick him in the balls!

what's the problem? if/when we make it to the prem, 30,000 of us can jump on a plane around the world. cheap and convinient.

seriously though, taking football away from the supporters? What a fooking joke

A practical observations from HuncoteFox

Points from the extra games would count towards the league and the top five would be seeded.

So Arsenal would be happy if they just pipped Man U by goal diference over 38 games but got drawn against Spurs while Man U drew Derby?

I somehow don't see this one flying.

And Hubert

That would be lovely to play everyone in the league twice, finish a point clear of the relegation zone and then draw Manure in the additional game while the 18th place team draws Wigan/Reading or the like and sneaks past you because of a random tacked on game in a potentially vastly different climate and time zone on a "neutral" venue which will in fact contain 100,000 fans supporting the more fashionable team of the two.

The game dies here.

One point, although I'm totally against this (as Leicester will be in the Prem then... lol ), the games will be played in Jan, so at least none of this "39th" game thing would really matter!

I'm Liking Viiiiiiiiiiiiillllllllllllllllllllla's Idea on 606:

Come on lads who agrees with me the way to stop this if it happens is send football hooligans to the citys were the games will take part and let them loose on the town to trash the place.

That way they wont want are games and we get them back.

It could just work :giggle:

Well they would, because teams would always analyse their successes or failures based upon the influence of the extra game. The whole point of a league season is to reward consistency, yet this would reduce the outcome in some seasons to a one of cup match, where the luck of the draw plays a huge part. If a side finishes 18th and is thus narrowly relegated having played Manchester United 3 times, they will have every right to feel aggrieved if the side survivng directly above them has faced Bolton Wanderers 3 times.
