Phube Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 I thought he didn't want Howard and Hayles up front?

Hmmm no room for Mattock on the bench is quite surprising....unless his limping in the U21's was worse than thought?! Happy that Bori gets a chance, although I would rather see him right wing and Hume up top. Also...no sub goalkeeper! Ben Alnwick better keep himself out of trouble!! Ahh well...not to be. COME ON CITY!
lookwhaticando Posted 9 February 2008 Author Posted 9 February 2008 Is Stearman injured or sidelined Suspended isn't he?
Smudge Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 Suspended isn't he? I didn't think he'd been yellow carded so much
lookwhaticando Posted 9 February 2008 Author Posted 9 February 2008 I didn't think he'd been yellow carded so much One match ban, five yellow cards. Apparently.
Bryn Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 1-0 to Plymouth. We're on top but if we can't learn to keep the ball on teh fooking floor what do we deserve?
purpleronnie Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 My Dad mentioned they hadn't won a league match since boxing day, he knows I hate playing teams who haven't won for a while. Especially in our league. Then I heard they've never won at leicester, I thought we might be doomed after hearing that. Hope not, but it aint looking good.
Steven Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 "Lacking in ideas and penetration" - no not my sex life but the commentators description of the City first half performance.
Tevez Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 FAO Iain Hume, Do you know how to play right midfield? Useless.
Bryn Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 If this football team does not learn to keep the ball on the floor, it is going down. My thoughts on the first half... We need a goalkeeper that can vary his distribution. We need centrebacks that can keep their head and not just lump the ball forward at every opportunity. We need a left footer on the left wing. We need someone that can at least consistently pass on the right wing. We need our central midfielders to demand the ball and get themselves into the game. We need strikers that encourage styles of play other than the long ball. The fact is, when Leicester keep the ball on the floor, they don't look too bad at all. So why in fook's name don't they just do it?!
martyn Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 We are actually an embarrassment to football. Wtf was that?? 45 minutes of hoofing it to Howard who, even if he won his flick on, had nobody getting on the end of them. Laczko for Hume, DJ for Hayles and try to at least involve the midfield in something, rather than watching the ball go over their heads.
Stevosevic Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 This is terrible. Long ball after another to Howard. Holloway doesn't seem up for it, i don't like him saying that he wont celebrate if we score/win - your at Leicester now Oliie, give us the commitment we deserve!
Daggers Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 i dont know how this looks on tele...but it is abysmal sitting here watching this crap. On the upside, i have net Alex.

I agree with those sub ideas! Definately!
Jonezy Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 This is taking the piss.... Hoof, hoof and hoof, and we are not very good at at it. Howard wins only about one in four. Hume could might as well take on a yellow shirt, as he keeps giving the ball to them anyway. Only player, who can hold his head high is Oakley. If this crap is gonna be our way out of relegation scrap, I fear for us.... Get Hume and Howard off, and give us some DJ and Laczko.... Can't believe we make Plymouth looks so good. It is an embarrasment!!!!!!!!!!
Phube Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 Can some one put their f****** foot on the ball!!!!!!!
Bryn Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 WHY THE fook IS BORI GOING OFF? HUH? Hume was fooking woeful, Bori just looked lost on the left and would probably have a decent game on the right. Starting to get really annoyed with Ollie's decisions, going from reports and from what I've seen in the games I've seen.
Mark Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 I know it keep saying it but its getting more and more pathetic that we're playing strikers on the wing (who are continuing to have no effect on the game) when got a player like Gradel on the books.
Bryn Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 Not impressed with Ollie based on tonight. And not just because of the result. In fact if we were winning I'd still say it's mere papering over the cracks. There are serious problems which frankly I don't think would be that hard to address.
Mark Posted 9 February 2008 Posted 9 February 2008 And that there is why we can't keep Kisnorbo and McAuley together if we want to go anywhere, completely done for pace by an average player.
