If we beat Preston we'll be cruising. 1 win down, 4 to go
Guest shearfox Posted 1 March 2008 Posted 1 March 2008 Sounded like we were the only team in it to be honest, it would have been an injustice if we didn't get the three points today.
breadandcheese Posted 1 March 2008 Posted 1 March 2008 Great result at a very difficult ground. Well done to the lads. Hard work is now on Tuesday to follow this up with a result against Preston. Great results in isolation, as we know, mean nothing.

This must be a stepping stone for more wins! We have to move on from this!!!
Thracian Posted 1 March 2008 Posted 1 March 2008 You don't use excuses Ollie just said. Well if that shows he's learning it's a bonus . Let's hope he keeps on learning.
Daggers Posted 1 March 2008 Posted 1 March 2008 it was all down to the match thread starter. And now i have 2 hours drinking in cardiff before i can i home...
Bert Posted 1 March 2008 Posted 1 March 2008 Darren Purse's first-half own goal was enough to give Leicester victory in a disappointing Championship clash at Ninian Park.Purse's moment to forget came in the 27th minute when he volleyed an attempted clearance beyond goalkeeper Peter Enckelman from 20 yards. But the Bluebirds could have no complaints as well-organised Leicester capitalised to hold on. The victory ensured Leicester kept pace with fellow-strugglers Preston. *BBC*
lee7 Posted 1 March 2008 Posted 1 March 2008 great result it was urgently needed but now we have to follow this result up with 3 points against preston.
Jonezy Posted 1 March 2008 Posted 1 March 2008 Darren Purse, you bloody legend! Vital 3 points that. Couldn't stand another Saturday with Barber and a losing Leicester, so stayed away from the radio and FT, and then we win thanks to an own goal. Well done lads, and great for Hendo to get a clean sheet. Daggers for starting Match Threads the rest of the season!!!

FleckneyFox Posted 1 March 2008 Posted 1 March 2008 I just hope this hasnt set us up for a fall against Preston, with our inconsistency anything could happen.
gosfox Posted 1 March 2008 Posted 1 March 2008 A late push for the playoff's??? Sorry......... I'll get my coat
Daggers Posted 1 March 2008 Posted 1 March 2008 An Ollie job saver to be sure! The job saver is the chants he gets every game...and every other chant today was for him.
Mort Posted 1 March 2008 Posted 1 March 2008 Back to the heady heights of 17th again... carry on like this on Tuesday and we'll be 15th!
Paddy Posted 1 March 2008 Posted 1 March 2008 Well deserved 3 points, although it was an own goal, we were unlucky not to be 3 or 4 up. 9 attempts on goal, DJ should have buried early chance. Great performances from all, Stearman and kisnorbo kept hasslebank quiet all game, some good saves and great assist for the goal from Henderson. Hendrie played very well giving more options when going forward. Well done lads
Jay Posted 1 March 2008 Posted 1 March 2008 a VITAL 3 points today and with those around us not getting results it's even more important although Tuesday is a massive massive game a result there is so important a game we must not lose but lets enjoy the moment at least for 48hrs!!
filbertboy Posted 1 March 2008 Posted 1 March 2008 Well done City !! Just what we needed ..three points and a clean sheet to go !! Dont really care if it was an own goal they all count !!
