MikeyT Posted 8 March 2008 Posted 8 March 2008 Ollie seems to be setting the team up to play in the right way and performance wise its working the sounds and looks of things.Blaming him is becoming a bit tiresome now. Agree with every word you said!
FilboFox Posted 8 March 2008 Posted 8 March 2008 From Ollie on BBC Radio Leicester: "Anybody who stood by the side of me and criticised, do yourself a favour... shut your mouth. Thats how I feel. Some bloke just walked out moaning like hell and the rest of the crowd told him to shut up." What? Moaning you only got a point today? "Yeah just moaning that its rubbish, I mean, I don't think thats rubbish... have a look at the game. So he can say what he likes, I mean he pays his money... but shut your face you pillock!" Ian Holloway = Genius!
Matt Posted 8 March 2008 Posted 8 March 2008 What do you want him to say then if the referee was poor? Oh FFS! Fair enough not today but for example the Coventry game...Yeah lets blame the referee for giving a legitimate penalty in the 20th odd minute. Not only was the referee right for giving the penatly, We had 70 odd minutes to get ourselves back into the game but with comment like that it seem were looking for excuses. Then twice in a row after matches he's used the "The most diabolical referee i've seen in my career" excuses. And don't make this all out on me, Yes i've pointed it out in this thread, Yes i've made the point and bought it all up again, but you might want to see the thread called something like "Ollie and Excuses" (Not sure if that is the name of the thread, something similar) and you will find post after post with the same opinion. Don't get me wrong i'm 100% behind Ollie, I want him to do well, and I do believe he is the right man for the job, Today we played well, deserved to win, and I was joking about excuses or comments Ollie would make in his interview.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 8 March 2008 Posted 8 March 2008 Ollie will probably say I cant fault the lads but if we play like that for the rest of the season we will be fine. And if he does then I definately agree with him!! Come on if this was another day we would surely have won they were even saying so on Five Live Sports Extra

Come on if this was another day we would surely have won they were even saying so on Five Live Sports Extra Thats exactly what he said... also getting himself in trouble though as he decided to say that the ref was awful and he made dreadful mistakes... but he doesn't care if the FA come down on him! Good man!

Lets Be having You Posted 8 March 2008 Posted 8 March 2008 Gary Johnson would have been quietly confident before the game of chalking off one of the six wins that he believes his side require in order to clinch automatic promotion, but in truth Leicester looked like they were the side destined for the Premier League. i wish
FilboFox Posted 8 March 2008 Posted 8 March 2008 Hahaha I love that!! I know... lol Bloody genius... if he gets sacked it'll be a crying shame!
MikeyT Posted 8 March 2008 Posted 8 March 2008 I know... lol Bloody genius... if he gets sacked it'll be a crying shame! I want to hear from the guy who he called a pillock!!! Wonder if he heard what Ollie has said!! hahahaha
wurmer Posted 8 March 2008 Posted 8 March 2008 I know... lol Bloody genius... if he gets sacked it'll be a crying shame! If we sack him now, regardless of how good or bad he actually is, the side-effect will be to put us in League One. *OLLIE IN* (for now)
Tilley Posted 8 March 2008 Posted 8 March 2008 Amazing performance today but Hume should have had a hat-trick, Mattock should have scored & Hendrie missed a sitter. Positives Etuhu looked lively. Hendrie & Oakley looked good in central midfield - A few wonky passes but wind was crazy. Hume looked better on the left rather than the right as he could cut inside etc. DJ Campbell was a handful with his pace. A draw against the league leaders. Just generally a solid performance. Well done lads Negatives Not being able to score with four strikers on the pitch & 20+ chances. Preston, Sheff Wed & Cov all winning. Us being only two points clear of relegation zone and Sheff Wed having two games in hand. We NEED wins against S'oton & WBA. Its a hell of a lot to ask but 4 points is minimum we need!!
Bert Posted 8 March 2008 Posted 8 March 2008 Whats Ollie gonna blame today then? Point the blame at the referee again for not giving us any penalties or anything? Don't get me wrong I never went today so don't know what the penalty appeals were like or whatever but we made chance after chance after chance and if you going to do nothing with thoses chances whats the point in making them in the first place? We must be 'unlucky' again...remember you make your own luck and that is by taking your chances which we had many of. Bring on the "That was the most diabolical referee i've ever seen in my career" I can hear it now. On the other hand we sounded like we played well. Really? We did everything but score today and should've had a penalty. We looked like the team top of the league. How on earth Bristol City are 1st, i will never ever know, because they are not very good. At all.
lildave3 Posted 8 March 2008 Posted 8 March 2008 I've gotta say i'm pleased with that. Really don't know how we haven't scored at least one, it just wasn't our day at all in front of goal. But still, a point (4 overall) against top of the league is pretty good.
DB11 Posted 8 March 2008 Posted 8 March 2008 Can't believe we didn't win... feels like a loss On the bright side, I'd have took a draw this morning
Joe. Posted 8 March 2008 Posted 8 March 2008 Still wondering how we didn't win that one. Guess it wasn't our day really. But seriously, a great, entertaining game. Just a shame we just couldn't get that bag of air into that bloody net. Looking at the stats, 21 shots on goal against a team top of the league os very impressive for me. There's certainly many positives to take from this game so we shouldn't be too disheartened. Special shout out to the radio Leicester caller: "First of all, would just like to say how brilliant Leicester City played today. But what this club needs is a quality striker, it's time for Milan to put his hand in his pocket. We need a top quality striker, it's what this club's been used to". Presenter: "Did you go to the game today?" "No but everyone in my village knows I love Leicester City through and through". Superb.

Simi Posted 8 March 2008 Posted 8 March 2008 Can't help feeling disappointed from that game. Really confused as to how we didn't score. Time for Hume to be dropped I reckon, not convincing at all today. Etuhu looks a good player although he seems a little shaky when he's on the ball, probably should have scored at the end of the first half as well. Gutted.
Maybes Posted 8 March 2008 Posted 8 March 2008 What a game. First time I have come away from the walkers this year after really enjoying watching a good display of football. Plenty of chances for either side (more so leicester) it was end to end stuff. Gutted we didn't win though.

Bezzanator89 Posted 8 March 2008 Posted 8 March 2008 I can't decipher how we didn't win today, that's one of the best performances I've seen all season. I think Bristol City will be very happy with a point. But to us, it feels like a loss. Sure-fire penalties dismissed, goal-line clearances, SO many easy chances missed, it feels like a loss inside, when I really should be happy with any points that we can get. To sum it all up in word...damn.
