Father Ted Posted 1 April 2008 Posted 1 April 2008 Does anybody know why he hasn't been playing recently? He is a million times better than du du du du fooking Useless Fryatt
Guest Posted 1 April 2008 Posted 1 April 2008 get rid of hume. Why? Despite not being a 20 goal a season striker he's, yet again, out top scorer
ronnup Posted 1 April 2008 Posted 1 April 2008 Can we have Hume and Fryatt instead? swap for Lita and Varney?
Lamby Posted 1 April 2008 Posted 1 April 2008 swap for Lita and Varney? Lita is on loan and Varney you cant have
Samilktray Posted 1 April 2008 Posted 1 April 2008 Can we have Hume and Fryatt instead? Be grateful if you took Fryatt.
dandannieldanok Posted 1 April 2008 Posted 1 April 2008 Can we have Hume and Fryatt instead? Nah they're not the ones you want, now Elvis Hammond (ankle) on the other hand.............
Legend_in_blue Posted 1 April 2008 Posted 1 April 2008 Nah they're not the ones you want, now Elvis Hammond (ankle) on the other hand............. Carl Cort is looking for a club surely?
Father Ted Posted 1 April 2008 Posted 1 April 2008 Carl Cort is looking for a club surely? No He's retiring playing in Spain
Jimmy Posted 1 April 2008 Posted 1 April 2008 Actually, no. DJ definitely can cause defences problems without scoring. When he had his little run in the side a few games ago he wasn't scoring but he was working hard for the team and really causing problems at the back for the opposition. Generally I'd say he offers more to the team than Fryatt. the only 1 being caused problems was the lino and his flag arm getting tired ...
SamL Posted 3 April 2008 Posted 3 April 2008 Carl Cort is looking for a club surely? He plays for UD Marbella in Spain and as yet, hasn't played a game.
RowlattsFox Posted 3 April 2008 Posted 3 April 2008 Atleast one of Campbell, Hume and Fryatt will leave in the summer in my opinion, and we will see another striker come in. I can't say I would be bothered if Campbell left, it would all depend on who we brought in as his replacement.
Mort Posted 3 April 2008 Posted 3 April 2008 Can we have Hume and Fryatt instead? Your welcome to Fryatt... Hume we can hagle over...
Ultra Posted 6 April 2008 Posted 6 April 2008 Campbell's on a decent long-term contract, so might be hard to shift. Best to nurse him till the end of the season, then book him in for an op to sort out his long-term groin/hernia problem once and for all. The time to judge him properly is when he's had a run of games and been fully fit. If this line seems familiar, it's because it's the same excuse that was being wheeled out again and again for Fryatt this time last year. Let's hope for a different outcome this time, and that DJ can eventually show the same form for us that he did for the brummies!
scinnell Posted 14 April 2008 Posted 14 April 2008 DJ is beingwatched apparently....: (From BBC gossip column)Leicester's former Birmingham striker DJ Campbell is being watched by Watford, Charlton and Cardiff. (Daily Star) http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/g...ers/7323813.stm - Time to cut our losses...?? get rid he is a good playerbut not at lcfc
Sooper Steve's shin Posted 14 April 2008 Posted 14 April 2008 DJ has got 2stay His finishing isn't up to scratch but his work rate, pace and ball control are good. Keep DJ Like it - I see what you've done there with the date of your post and everything. I thought there was something fishy when you suggested DJ had a good "work rate", but then you went and put "ball control". My dead goldfish puts in more work rate than Dudley and probably has pretty similar ball control. There is a reason why he was playing non-league football just a couple of years ago. If you have watched Leicester games featuring DJ this season, you will know why. If I was in charge, he would be allowed to go for whatever Milan wanted to recoup of the fee paid for him (I think some of it was appearance/success based, so hopefully we haven't wasted too much). I would not be sorry to see him go on a free but it would annoy me that we wasted money on signing him.
Mort Posted 14 April 2008 Posted 14 April 2008 Should get rid of Fryatt before you even think about getting rid of Campbell... not saying that Campbell has impressed for us, but he's on a decent contract and (as Ultra says) would be tough to shift, as it is he's worth retaining (we're not likley to get much better), the likes of Fryatt however...

Agreed

Damn straight.
Thracian Posted 15 April 2008 Posted 15 April 2008 This seems to be the eternal solution at Leicester. If it's not working bring in ever more players. Has nobody wondered if it might be the way we play, our tactics, our poor passing from the back, our big gaps between different sections of the team, this stupidly narrow way we play and too often our lack of pace? Or even that the players are too concerned about making mistakes? Given Holloway's licence to sign players after January 1, I cannot see why any self-respecting manager should have dropped us from 17th place to 22nd or, indeed, failed to lift us into mid-table. I cannot understand it even with the squad he has to be honest although I cannot see what great benefit at least four of our loan signings have been. I would hate such a massive player turnover. It is counter productive. All our players have their faults but they are capable of much more than they've delivered this season, at least I think they are. But we need someone to get it out of them. If every time players drop clangers they're out of the side you never get them relaxing and trying things. But we do need to pick fit and capable players in the first place, then give them some encouragement and show them some faith.
