MC Prussian Posted 11 April 2008 Posted 11 April 2008 If people are convinced we are going to lose and that they have no faith in the management then I'd be very surprised if they bothered to go to the match. We just want to see the team lose. Because we adore crappy displays. We indulge ourselves in them. Even if we should win, there's three more games to go with a total of at least 4 points needed - if not more. We're just not consi st en t enough. 1-0 Leicester.

I've been scanning through TB today and yesterday and God help us if we lose tomorrow. That place is already suicidal, I can't imagine what it'll be if we lose to Colchester. They've taken pessimism to new level.

Rather like the philosophical accceptance of a condemned man before his execution. Hope may well remain but the mind starts to prepare itself as possibilities get closer to reality. Indeed, it is a mark of the seriousness of our situation that so many are already starting to adjust to the prospect of relegation... People adapt, it's part of the process. But there will be a massive outpouring of ecstatic relief if we somehow survive.
maddog Posted 11 April 2008 Posted 11 April 2008 Well there is a bright side to being in another tight relegation battle. It's exciting, theres something to play for, and i'm seriously looking forward to the must win match Saturday. If we were mid-table, we weren't going to be in the play offs, we weren't in a relegation battle it would be dull and boring, there would be nothing to play for and i wouldn't be getting excited. It's going to be an emotional rollercoaster Saturday, and ultimately great entertainment and i can't wait. Exciting Nerve-racking Entertaining What more could you ask for from a football match? A must win game or we will probably end up being relegated, now thats entertainment, which is the idea of going to the football. I'm feeling the same as i did before a match against Arsenal or Man Utd in the Premiership or before the wembley finals. And we are playing Colchester at home

There's a lot of people about who could use a good cuddle and a night in watching Harry Hill's TV Burp.
Kilworthfox Posted 11 April 2008 Posted 11 April 2008 There's a lot of people about who could use a good cuddle and a night in watching Harry Hill's TV Burp. Not me bring on a scouring pad and Countdown were gonna bloody have Colchester in our pockets! 4 V 0 Easy Easy Easy
Daggers Posted 11 April 2008 Posted 11 April 2008 Not me We know you need no hugs - you get more than enough from the men at your local public convenience
The People's Hero Posted 11 April 2008 Posted 11 April 2008 A win... but wont be pretty!, i am confident as my boyfriend and his mate are not going and last time they missed games we beat Cov, Norwich! Girl or gay?
The People's Hero Posted 11 April 2008 Posted 11 April 2008 Natural mental response to the prospect of impending doom I imagine. Rather like the philosophical accceptance of a condemned man before his execution. That's a tasteful comparison. The prospect of losing a football match and losing one's life are definitely on equal footings. Prat.

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 11 April 2008 Posted 11 April 2008 Looking at some of peoples frst choice XIs, I'd say we have a very good chance of winning tommorow. 3-0 Leicester.

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 11 April 2008 Posted 11 April 2008 If the defence decide to try and pass the ball out and work some attacks then yes maybe. Maybe. It can be done. Hopefully we'll create more on the wings, and I'm quite excited about the prospect of Etuhu and Bell on either side, with Hendrie and Oakley dazzling in the middle. That midfield should make a few goals, as well as chip in with a few themselves.

Yeh the midfield looks awesome on paper and probably is on the pitch, but with the current defence loving to hoof the ball, how often will they get on the ball.
Thracian Posted 11 April 2008 Posted 11 April 2008 That's a tasteful comparison. The prospect of losing a football match and losing one's life are definitely on equal footings. Prat. Depends how much you want to win the football match and, for people in great pain, despair or hopelessness, how much you care about losing your life. Everyone seems to be a prat to you, apart from your friends, of course.

Hopefully the freshly laid pitch will encourage the team to play the ball along the ground more often.
Manwell Pablo Posted 11 April 2008 Posted 11 April 2008 I think we can win, I think we will win. If we don't then you don't need me to tell you we're in serious trouble.
filbertway Posted 11 April 2008 Posted 11 April 2008 Hopefully the freshly laid pitch will encourage the team to play the ball along the ground more often. Probably, but I doubt it
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 11 April 2008 Posted 11 April 2008 Probably, but I doubt it . The phrase "You can't teach an old dog new tricks" comes to mind.
davieG Posted 11 April 2008 Author Posted 11 April 2008 . The phrase "You can't teach an old dog new tricks" comes to mind. Or even new dogs old tricks when it comes to LCFC.
