theoatcake Posted 2 May 2008 Posted 2 May 2008 Stoke will go all out for a win - it'd be far too risky not to. I think they'll do it with a full house behind them, but I also reckon Ipswich will beat Hull. Everyone seems to be assuming Hull are going to win, when Ipswich have only lost once at home. Whatever happens it'd be good if Stoke go up and Leicester stay up. It'd be great to have Leicester fans joining us in a double celebration after the game.

Stoke aren't going to be playing for the win and risk losing they only need a draw. They will play to get an early goal then just stick 10 men behind the ball and play for a draw. I fear Stoke will score early then our shocking players won't be able to break their defence down and we will lose. Come on Sheffield United!

lavrentis Posted 2 May 2008 Posted 2 May 2008 I am getting nervous now, anyone thinking about Leicester like every minute. It's scary.
Ron Combo Posted 2 May 2008 Posted 2 May 2008 What is truly astonishing about the human spirit is our ability to nurture eternal optimism. It's why people play Lotto, even 'though they have more chance of being kicked to death by Elvis Presley's gay donkey whilst watching the Loch Ness monster arm wrestle Prince Andrew as his Mother awards Jay-Z a knighthood for services to the crystal meth industry than they have of winning the big one.We can't beat relegation rivals at home and yet we are still clinging to the (frankly risible) belief that we can beat Stoke AWAY. We are clutching at straws! Sorry chaps, we are doomed.
CupidStunt Posted 3 May 2008 Posted 3 May 2008 Just looked at the predicted team news stoke are at full strength (fuller will score)....might have a cheeky punt on that one,and hope to lose, infact i might have a load of bets with different combos and pray to god i lose the fooking lot we have doubts over oakley (sore anus) and hendrie (sore cock) Chris lucketti (on loan center back) has chosen not to play against sheff utd (he has been on top form,so at least its something) Oh,and is it true Ollie is a god father of one of pulis daughters?....surely they can work out a deal
step Posted 3 May 2008 Posted 3 May 2008 Options to stay up Leicester lose, Southampton lose. We stay up Leicester draw, Southampton lose or draw or Shef Wed lose. We stay up leicester win, We stay up. Statistically. The most likely outcome is that Leicester and southampton lose

Finchy Posted 3 May 2008 Posted 3 May 2008 We can do without Oakley... But Hendrie Come on you Blades then!
FilboFox Posted 3 May 2008 Posted 3 May 2008 I am getting nervous now, anyone thinking about Leicester like every minute. It's scary. Every minute of every day... I'm very scared and all these predictions by the pundits that WE are going down not Southampton are really making me even more worried!
Poakey Posted 3 May 2008 Posted 3 May 2008 Im feeling a little more confident after talking to a Sheff Utd season ticket holder today,he reckons there playing "awesome" football and he says that he has no doubts that utd will beat Southampton. Lets see.
rayray Posted 3 May 2008 Posted 3 May 2008 I think your game has a draw written all over it. With the Pulis/Hollowacko connection, it seems inevitable with Stoke needing the one point that it will be a draw. The only other alternative is that they give you a right tonking. But I am sure those two old buddies have agreed on a draw. You must then rely on the Soton/Sheff U game. And believe me, Soton CAN win that one. Not saying they will but they can. So you are right to be so worried. But I think you will get out of it somehow. A draw will be enough thanks to your goal difference and the other results going your way. Be honest though....do you really deserve to stay up? Truthfully? Come on............admit it. You have good support, a good stadium and have had financial backing and the side have still let you down. Leicester City deserve to go down and I will be having a celebratory drink tomorrow if they do go. Boomshanka ! Yours keeping the faithfully, Coventry Twat.

Bert Posted 3 May 2008 Posted 3 May 2008 King Weso Cm pairing? Could well be an option. New captain as well if Oaks don't play. McAuley i think he will choose - but i would love if it he picked Hume.

lee7 Posted 3 May 2008 Posted 3 May 2008 i can't see us beating Stoke away so we will be relying on Sheffield United to beat Southampton at ST Marys. come on you Blades, come on you Blades
mikelcfc Posted 3 May 2008 Posted 3 May 2008 oh dear. please do not post whilt under the influence of mind altering drugs. statements like this happen
Bert Posted 3 May 2008 Posted 3 May 2008 Weso or Stearman should be captain. How could i forget Stearman. It should be him. It would be a fitting season if we was to stay up on the last day, with him as captain.
