Fox You Forest Posted 29 April 2008 Posted 29 April 2008 I had the Ecto-1 model I got many hours of enjoyment out of mine. The thing i wanted most was the Ghostbuster suit with the backpack and trap but i never got one.
AoWW Posted 29 April 2008 Posted 29 April 2008 I wonder what AOWW will say Twister? Dunno why you're so interested in my choice.
Thracian Posted 29 April 2008 Posted 29 April 2008 Simply for the fun I had out of it the quarter-size snooker table I got in my early teens. I also loved electric train sets as a nipper and spent hours building a layout on a 12ft by 5 ft board with it's own buildings and scenery. Very proud of it I was too but it was nothing like the set I purchased a few years ago from Long Marston near Stratford-on-Avon. A guy had built a layout based on the Stratford on Avon and Midland Junction Railway which ran round around his double garage with six different kinds of hand-engineered trains. I got the chance to buy it because he'd always wanted to own a pink Chevrolet Convertible and when he got one the railway had to go so he could use his garages for the car.
Finnegan Posted 29 April 2008 Posted 29 April 2008 I loved Model Trains until I realised that actually collecting the scenery was more interesting than the actual trains. That sort of put me off.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 29 April 2008 Posted 29 April 2008 Sod Scalectrix... I want to change lanes (though not on corners... dammit!)
Daggers Posted 30 April 2008 Author Posted 30 April 2008 Knex / Mechano / Playmobil = Poor man's Lego. K'Nex makes better engineering models
ozleicester Posted 30 April 2008 Posted 30 April 2008 The penis pump 2000 advanced dare I ask...what makes it "advanced"?
hairy Posted 30 April 2008 Posted 30 April 2008 I had the old ttype Donkey Kong!!! Forgot I had one of those, brilliant. But Disco said no consoles so it doesn't count. My favs were Tonka toys. The ad said they would not break and had elephants standing on them. This gave me a new purpose in life, to try and destroy Tonka toys. I tried everything. Threw them out of three storey windows, tied them to the back of my Dads car, buried them and threw them around generally. But they were right. I couldn't break them. Ever since then I have under achieved and have lost all motivation. Now I support City.
