Eastern Fox Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 One of our lot just put this in one of our forums..."I'm looking forward to next season so much. MK Dons will fare well and i hope i do, i put £200 bet on three weeks ago @ 25/1 Dons finishing higher than Leicester City next season." He obviously doesn't like money...
tartanowl Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Commiserations. I know how you're all feeling right now and it is absolutely horrible. Best of luck for next year.
RedOnRed Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 He obviously doesn't like money... L ol, don't shoot the messenger. I suppose all fans are naturally optimistic for the forthcoming season.
sdb Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 some opposition fans are being painfully nice to us reading some foxes fans posts on here today they must find us pretty hilarious (in a bad way)
Barkbygirl Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Commiserations from a QPR fan. I know what it is like to be relegated into L1. Good luck for next season.

badbackb Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 :: I fell quite ashamed of myself yesterday, whilst listenening to our own team lose against wolves we couldn't help ourselves cheering when your lot got relegated it was at the time like winninig the champions league then we saw the poor kids crying and then it brought it home to us that it could of been us Plymouth Argyle going down, all season since H------y moved to Leicester we have wanted you to lose your games just so Ho-----y got his just deserts which he has but we are sorry that you have had to suffer. Anyway you will be back up next year without your current manager hopefully so see you then and good luck
rocknrollman no2 Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Hope you dont mind a Saints fan on here, but i just want to say good luck for next season and hope you make a quick rise back to the Championship. For a while i thought it might have been us,so just goes to show how close it was. Anyway good luck.
Jordan Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 All those non-Leicester fans coming here to console us ... ... they're so sweet.
Lester Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 DEVASTATED.....YOU HAVE DESTROYED OUR CLUB.... fooking BASTARDS.... Look on the bright side at least Leicester might win a few games next season. We will all get over it and be back supporting them. Steve Walsh for manager.
yorksfox Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Look on the bright side at least Leicester might win a few games next season. We will all get over it and be back supporting them. Steve Walsh for manager. The best young manager in the Championship is Simon Grayson - he kept Blackpool up by spending 350K all season with gates of well under 10,000. He MIGHT consider stepping down a division and teaming up with Steve Walsh who is probably now worth a go.
l444ry Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 At the new putrid level City will be competing, Walsh would not be such a stupid appointment as many think - especially if someone like Brian Little became some sort of Director of Football to help him along.

He wouldnt team up with anyone , Grayson has achevied a million more things in management than Walsh and dont think he would come here anyway with his cushy number at Blackpool

clazkel Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Just think: If we draw Stoke* in the cup & beat them it'll be classed as a giant killing. *Assuming we get through rounds 1&2 of course!!! I hope we get Stoke in the cup and hammer them, as there fans were horrible yesterday the way they were taunting us at the end, and laughing and sticking their fingers up. I hope they get relegated and we get promoted next season. Before the game i was thinking it would be really nice for a club like them to get promoted but when they won they just took the p*ss and it really hurt standing there watching them. They really were taking the mick. We also had another minute of injury time to play but with them running on the pitch it put pressure on them to blow the final whistle. Did anyone else notice that the ref didn't blow the whistle, as when i heard it, i looked at the ref and he wasn't even blowing his whistle, was it the fourth official who blew the final whistle coz he was worried about safety?

PoshChris Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Welcome to League 1 from your friends down the A47. Been reading this board with interest today and its interesting to see the insight (and lack thereof,) your posters display towards league 1. As a rule the standard is not hugely worse than the bottom half of the Championship, I see you're already trying to reign in the deluded few who seem to think you'll turn up and walk it due to having the biggest stadium and overinflated wage bill. You won't. Forest didn't, Wednesday didn't and Bradford even managed to get relegated. As for players in and out, you need to adjust your sights for a bit. You need to worry about keeping the ones you have more than poaching new talent, Championship sides could well poach the most promising players and I think your wishlists are a bit off if you really think the rest of this division is going to roll over and give you their star players. On a personal note you've got no hope of getting Boyd or Mclean, if either leaves it will be to a higher division side, you would just be a sideways move. I'm glad you're looking forward to visiting our 4000+ terrace, make the most of it, it has great acoustics and there are some decent away friendly pubs nearby. Nearer the time if you want advice for where to drink or how to get to fortress London Road please visit posh.net, the biggest Posh fansite on t'interweb. See you next season
clazkel Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Be fair mate we'd of done the same. I know what you mean but sticking their fingers up, and laughing in our faces etc i didn't find very nice, but i suppose they were excited! It'll make it even better when we come back!!!!
