Sadly, yes. I feel sorry for Holloway, I shouldn't do, because he's just played a massive part in relegating my club, but he must be feeling awful right now and I don't wish that upon many people. But the bottom line is, Holloway is severely limited as a manager and I had grave doubts about what he could impose on this club given the turmoil we had already been through. He's a motivator, behind that there's not a lot else, certainly not tactically anyway. That motivational aspect escaped him as soon as he came here and it's been panic stations ever since.

It's a shame he couldn't get us over the finishing line without relegation but either way, he's not the man to take us forward. I hope he learns from this season and it makes him a better manager, but he'll have to take his medicine and prove himself again. We need a different type of character to Ollie here right now.

So, Ian. Thanks for an interesting experience in the last 6 months, you go with my handshake but little else.

I'm glad you agree DB, he has to go!! I've always stood by him before the last game, but that game summed up all his failures, he played players out of position, he played a rookie where there were others more suitable, the 2 strikers he chose, both he signed mind you were about as sterile and verile as some neutered unaques. Tactically he played for a draw and he got bummed.

He looked well out of his depth, the sky camera's on numerous occassions caught him with this scraggy piece of paper with the team sheet on, scratching his head and pointing at it!!! It took him the last game of the season to point to the players what the fans think of him\his team, before that before the sheff weds game was talking about promotion!!!

I would have loved for him to prove everyone wrong, and add stability to the team, but he didn't he acted way too late and got punished!!!

Luigi Di Canio, who was in charge for the successful season, has left by mutual consent and a new search for a manager has begun at the South London Football Club.

Holloway was placed on gardening leave back in 2006 by Ranger's, for allegedly taking an interest in the vacant manager position at Leicester City. At the end of the 2005-2006 season, Holloway left Queen's Park Rangers and was appointed manager of Plymouth Argyle after Tony Pulis left to rejoin Stoke City.

QPR had been in discussions over a possible takeover, and since Ian Holloway guided Leicester to their first bout in League One in their history, could he possibly be interested in a return to one of his former clubs.

It would certainly bring back the banter and the rivalry between Queens Park Rangers and Plymouth.
