Maybes Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 I'm not renewing mine. I'm not sure what I'll be doing next year so can't guarantee being able to make mid-week fixtures. Can still see myself going to a fair few home games and hopefully a lot of away ones though. I can see there being so many ticket promotions throughout next season that I could go to most home games and only spend £100 They put on enough deals this season so can imagine what it'll be like next season. It will be interesting to see what saving the season ticket gives you this year. Surely we cant be charging £20 for a league one game?

It wouldn't surprise me if ticket prices were that much for individual matches next season But I'll try to make any saving possible and see how many games I can get in for a discount next season. I bet I'll get into a fair few!
Thracian Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 I really envy the "committed whatever" fans. Cos this whole situation is tearing me apart without f.....g mercy. I've done some shameful things by way of vengeance and reaction in my life. Yet Holloway brings it all to the surface. Nothing helps. I can't mend the situation yet I cannot deal with the fact it exists. I'm so sodding angry. And he's the root cause. It's not just Division One - I'll watch Pontins Reserve League and love it. It's our failing to have a f.....g go that I couldn't stand. It was the waste of resources, the waste of talent that we had, the sucking up to imports of various kinds who do not deserve to wear our cherished shirt. I am sick to the stomach with years and years of indifference and I'm sick of Holloway being there and continuing the trend. No team of mine would ever surrender or compromise as we did at Stoke and so many other grounds like Southampton, Hull and Blackpool. I loathe the word compromise. And managers who compromise their team are beneath contempt. There is only one way to approach a football match that I admire. And that is to go 100% full out to score a goal, to score some more and to win. Holloway hasn't shown that attitude and I don't just wish he'd get out of Leicester I wish he'd get out of football for a few years so he could realise what a lucky bastard he is and perhaps change his philosophy. Cos right now he does the game no justice.
Corky Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 I just want some entertainment next season. If we lose games, but have a real go and set out an attacking mentality, then I could take it. I want good football as well. I really could not stomach a home defeat by Swindon or Cheltenham when we create one chance and hoof it up to the front men from the back.

Pity you can't convince our leaders about that. And dget 20,000-odd fans to back you.

Maybe, with a new manager, it will be different, we will have that mentality. At the moment, especially at home, the players seem in fear, like they can't express themselves or show what they can really do. I feel more confident in us away from home.
Scow Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 The manager in charge doesn't effect my decision. I support Leicester City.
demon_dog Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 Maybe, with a new manager, it will be different, we will have that mentality. At the moment, especially at home, the players seem in fear, like they can't express themselves or show what they can really do. I feel more confident in us away from home. I feel that maybe the problem with our players at home is that we have such a shit pitch. Anyone can simply hoof the ball up field and hope our strikers get on the end of it. To play a passing game on our ground requires 2 things. Firstly players who can pass the ball accurately enough, (something we haven't seemed able to do) Secondly, a decent pitch whereby the ball goes where intended instead of bouncing around willy nilly. We know that the pitch is due to be replaced this summer, (if that now happens due to cost), then I would expect to see us passing the ball around with greater accuracy. We may find that our results improve at home if we do get a better pitch and will also see better quality football. Don't know what the pitches will be like away from home, but if they are poor like ours this season don't expect pretty football. As long as we could grind out a result I'd be happy.
Legend_in_blue Posted 11 May 2008 Posted 11 May 2008 We shouldn't have to grind out results in this league. We should be walking all over the teams in it. However, 'should' and 'Leicester City' don't go well together. It's more a case of 'massive disappointment'.
Raj Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Renewed my Season Ticket today. I know we have a League 1 Roll Call thread but place your confirmed Season Ticket purchases here. TWAT!!! only joing Matt...WELL DONE!!! I will renew mine...when the prices go down thanks to the foxestrust!!!!
Mickey O'Neil Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 I've renewed, also got my girlfriends son to buy his first one ****it, it's not like a fu cking lightswitch that I can fooking turn on and off. It's Leicester City F.C. I'm here for the bumpy ride. Bring the ****er on is what I say! I'm embracing the new season, the new Leicester City F.C. When You're smiling.....

We've got this covered mate. Some top pitch company (from Leicestershire???) have signed up or whatever. I remember reading they have done some of the best pitches in the country (can't remember off the top of my head who they are). He reckons it won't take too much effort to get it in tip-top condition.
MikeyT Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Damn, wish i could get a season ticket! Gutted! Stupid Uni being down south!!!!! Grrr!
Manwell Pablo Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Not had a season ticket for over six years and I don't intend to start having one again now we're in League One, I'll still try and get down as much as possible though.

Tilley Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 When I've got the dollar, I will make my purchase. Pay day in two weeks
Munzie Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Not had a season ticket for over six years and I don't intend to start having one again now we're in League One, I'll still try and get down as much as possible though. Completely agree. I only missed one home game this season. With some of the incentives offered (such as a letter from the club stating that they hadn't seen me for a while - here's a free ticket, extra tickets for mates that held a ST and 'happy birthday' - here's a ticket) the saving I would have made was negligable. Plus, I had the luxury of moving around the ground when it suited, viewing the woeful displays from all angles!! I was/am prepared to fully support the club, parting with my hard earned cash, but am loathed to commit for next season not knowing what Leicester City team is going to turn out. As discussed already, I'm more than happy to pay to see the team win, lose or draw as long as they put in a decent performance (something that happened on the rare occasion thoughout 2007/08).

Fair dos BUT Just be aware that if you DO go to the majority of the games on a pay as you go process you ARE better off financially getting a ST

What was the excuse for the previous seasons, I'm sorry but that's rubbish, how come other teams not used to our pitch get results and performances off it. We couldn't even play hoof ball on it. Our players are piss poor at passing and keeping possession be it on the floor or in the air.

Raj Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 I blame the Kop not being swapped for the family stand. And the concourse kiosks are crap too...
Kilworthfox Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 I blame the Kop not being swapped for the family stand. And the concourse kiosks are crap too... Although a joke What is the differance between the Kop & the family stand these days? L&K are the new Kop
AyewJoking Posted 12 May 2008 Posted 12 May 2008 Breaking with tradition and NOT renewing. I'd rather go shopping with my girlfriend on Saturdays. Could do with the extra money anyway.

That's going to make the ST look cheap, mate. I'll be buying mine in the next week or so, I reckon. The fact we're in League One makes not a jot of difference to me - I'll keep going whatever. That's probably why I didn't get THAT upset about getting relegated. I'm what the club needs - apathetic but still willing to hand over the cash
