Ric Flair Posted 15 May 2008 Posted 15 May 2008 Leicester City chairman Milan Mandaric hopes to make a decision over manager Ian Holloway's future by the beginning of June. Holloway's position at the Walkers Stadium is uncertain following the club's relegation to League One. Mandaric is determined to do 'what is best for the club', and hopes that a period of reflection will assist him in making the correct decision. Responsible "I am not even giving total support to myself. Am I a good chairman or not? It starts with me, and then goes all the way down - including the manager," he told Sky Sports News. "I think I am entitled to look at that. I am in the firing line, I am responsible. "I am the one who is going to support the club financially so I will do what is best for the club; not necessarily for Ian Holloway or Milan Mandaric. "I am looking to make a decision no later than the first or second week of June. You need to give the manager time to review their staff and players. A total reorganisation of the club." Mandaric on Future of Ollie
hairy Posted 15 May 2008 Posted 15 May 2008 16 days and counting................... I wouldn't count on it. He is forever setting himself deadlines that he never meets.
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 15 May 2008 Posted 15 May 2008 Nice one Milan, you sit there and wait for all the mugs to renew their season tickets then make your big disappointing announcement (IH stays)... Shrewd business my friend...
Mark Posted 15 May 2008 Posted 15 May 2008 Well, who'd have thought that? How are we supposed to prepare for the next season without a manager in place? We don't need a mad rush in July.
sdb Posted 15 May 2008 Posted 15 May 2008 jeez, do we have to moan about everything? the season's just finished and a desicion vital to our future has to be made - taking a bit of time over it makes complete sense. people on here would moan about a cure for cancer if it was discovered.
Ric Flair Posted 15 May 2008 Author Posted 15 May 2008 This article doesn't do the interview that Milan did with SSN justice. He basically went as far as saying Ollie is going and he know's it.
breadandcheese Posted 15 May 2008 Posted 15 May 2008 It's another farce in the circus that is Leicester City. It must be interesting negotiating contracts with players when you're not able to actually discuss the manager's plans with the player. I'm not saying Mandaric is not right to wait until the play-offs are out the way and the dust settled on the season before sorting out the manager's future, but then why have all this fanfare the other day about business as usual.
Ric Flair Posted 15 May 2008 Author Posted 15 May 2008 I'm interested to hear what GavinWardmeLord thinks of this.
Staf Posted 15 May 2008 Posted 15 May 2008 Im so confused i got the impression that Holloway was staying the other day in the mercury and know Mandaric is saying that he still hasnt decided and you cant even look forward to the decision because like someone said Mandaric never meets his deadlines
Daggers Posted 15 May 2008 Posted 15 May 2008 "I am not even giving total support to myself. Am I a good chairman or not?" he told Sky Sports News. Oh, with decision making like this Mr.Mandaric, you are spoiling us. Christ on a pedalo! Just as my optimism is starting to be rekindled from the embers of this season, Mandaric pisses on them. What he has done is effectively say 'I have no confidence in Holloway' - so, replacement in hand or not, he now has to sack him. Sort it out bloke! Make a ****ing decision and go with it. Atrocious man-management skills, ****ing atrocious.
teblin Posted 15 May 2008 Posted 15 May 2008 Think the sky interview makes in obvious that Ollie will be gone, but i also think it indicates that MM may not be chairman also. New Manager and Chairman all in one day?
Ric Flair Posted 15 May 2008 Author Posted 15 May 2008 I just felt that this needed posting... That pictures disturbs me incredibly.
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 15 May 2008 Posted 15 May 2008 That pictures disturbs me incredibly. It looks like your grandads accidentally put on your Pompey shirt instead of his usual chequered no. PS. Whats in his other hand??
