Peter Shilton would do the job, can't see him putting his CV to Milan though. TBH don't think i'd want him.

Top of my list is Simon Grayson, but at the same time I really am not keen on getting former players as our manager, to back up for Grayson at least he has had a couple of years experience.

we are to big for this league[/ib,our history, fanbase, trophies suggest we are a mid to lower premiership team.however the reality currently is that we're underperforming, and next season is going to be a major battle.if your point is that it wont be a breeze then i think the vast majority of fans would agree.

Then why are in it?

Trophies? We've won the league cup 4 times and the charity shield once.

so does your reply mean the likes of wigan, middlesboro etc are a bigger club then us because there 2 divisions higher then us,or that when man city were in this division they were a small club?you dont have to be premier league to be a big club( i.e leeds),we are and always will be a big club compared to the vast majority of the 92 football league clubs, that doesnt mean we have a right to always be premier league, but we should expect to be.

p.s regarding trophies weve won the lge cup 3 times not 4,not forgetting the 6 div 2 champions and 2 play off wins, countless runners up

and 3 seasons in europe.compare that again to the other 92 football lge clubs, and you will see were a top 20 team.

Haven't listened to the phone in tonight.

But did see Milans interview on Central Tonight & SSN.

Hope he doesn't leave it to long to put BILLY DAVIES in charge. :D

There are a lot of daft kids on this forum trying to blame milan for us being in league 1. He is by far the best chairman weve ever had, weve had so many chances to take the next step with bloomfields great side right through to oneill and no chairman has ever backed us before milan.

He saved this club from going bust who cares if he got us for next to nothing and yes he has made mistakes but we would be in a far worse state without him. So glen stuart i dont know you and dont agree with everything you say but you are right with this one.

Yeah, I agree, I thank him very much for saving my club from administration.

But, I think the decision on a new manager needs ot be made soon.

No he didn't. Or at least nobody can prove that to be the case. As for being worse off without him? We were in the Championship without him. We would probably still be in the Championship if not for his appalling decision making ability. I'll be the first to praise him if things go well and its down to him. But up to now, he has failed on every level.

That's not a fact, it's just an assumption based on hearsay.

As for being the best Chairman we've had well that's subjective as depends on what criteria you're basing it on. If you're basing it on backing his managers financially he could well be but no other Chairman has resided over our fall into the 3rd tier so on that basis you could argue he's the worst we've had.

Yeah agree with that, hes possibly the only chance we have of getting to the prem in the near future.

Milan Mandaric "by far the best chairman we've had"............... :crylaugh: He's made this club into a laughing stock with his continually terrible decision-making that has ultimately capped off our inevitable relegation. The claim that "he saved the club" is based completely on rumour and conjecture considering the clubs debts are based around a loan that wouldn't have threatened the club's future for years yet. Unfortunately the sceptics during the period in which he took control have been proven right in the assumption that Mandaric was lucky at Portsmouth with Redknapp. All the hope I'm clinging to is that Mandaric get's lucky again, and whoever he employs gets off to a flying start so we don't have to endure another season where his decision-making is in the spotlight.

Don't make me laugh.

The likes of Shipman and George were tight arsed bastards who made themselves a pretty penny as we "Broke the bank" to buy the likes of Mark Blake and Steve Agnew but they would never have let us get into the financial mess that we did. Sack a manager because he didn't buy the players they wanted? Never. The chances of them not tying down Megson to any sort of a permanent contract? Non-existent. Compound the first two decisions by employing a nice bloke who was ultimately out of his depth? Wouldn't happen. They must be pissing themselves at every single defeat and bad decision because this is exactly why they didn't want to sell out to him.

This man bought our club on the cheap when it was at a low ebb but had he not have done there were others making enquiries (Steve Morgan - now at Wolves - but Mandaric got his finances in place first). We still owe just as much as we ever did but now a portion of it is tied in to Mandaric.

When he appoints a decent manager with a proven track record and gives him time and space to succeed, then he'll be a good chairman. When he's been here another two/three years and seen us return to the top flight, then he'll be a good chairman. When he sits back, stays out of the limelight and lets the club run itself without interference from a sack-happy walking ego, then he'll be a good chairman. Until then, he's the man in charge when we got relegated to division 3 for the first time ever.

And somehwre approaching 30 and in my 23rd year of supporting this club through thick and thin, I'm beyond being a daft kid. I'm just one of the 25,000 regulars sick of being taken for granted whilst our club flushes itself further down the league.

Martin George was a far better chairman. He appointed good managers, backed them with what he'd got.

To say Milan is the best ever is wrong.

Yeah Martin George was a good chairman and he appointed good managers but i cant agree with the last bit he was as tight as a ducks arse.He said at one point a few years back that he not could invest heavily in the club because all his dosh was tied up in the family business. :scarf:

You lot are so short sighted, leicester have always been a nearly club for probably the last 40 years and why because not one of these chairman including martin george have ever given the manager funds. Can you honestly say if we were in the premiership you lot would rather have martin george at the helm than milan.

Milan has made a real mess of things but he is still the best we have had by a mile because the rest have been so bad. We have always sold our best players befoe they reach there peak and have lost millions doing so. If anything would say our previous chairman were making a fortune for themselves selling our best players.

To say he must have been lucky to achieve sucess at portsmouth is ludicrous he left the club stable in the prem and sold them to a rich russian consortium who spend millians on the club and they have now won the f a cup.

Just a thought but i dont suppose any of the blame lies with our players? If they had put the same effort in all season as they did at stoke they would not have gone down.

I have the solution... GARY LINEKAR!

As a player-manager-chairman-crispeater... would be ideal! And get Walkers back on the shirt!

Where as his successor backed the manager with money he hadn't got, that's why we went into administration.

...which was then sold for something like £300m.

Martin George at least helped build the Way, even if it was four years too late..

He achieved more for the club than Mandaric will ever do.

I think we'd have more chance with Gary Lineker, to be fair.
