EDF can absolutely get in the bin.

Not with EDF but they've been sending people 4 times a year to read a non-existing meter at my business for years.

Countless calls and emails to them saying the meter doesn't exist and I've never had an account with them yet some poor sod on a 0 hours contract is dutifully sent out by EDF every quarter.

I cut my right hand index finger yesterday and had to put a plaster on it.  24 hrs later still have a vivid red line through the top of my pinkie, which means I can’t use it to gain digital access to various on line accounts.  Now trying to remember passwords I haven’t used for ages!  1st world problems eh! 😡

Been in exactly the same position only it was my thumb and needed it to actually unlock my phone :frusty:. Was a total ballache.

Closest I've come to understanding how someone can throw a little one out the window is when my 2 year old with a runny nose sneezed directly into my face.

Little germ ridden buggers.

That's nothing compared to a camel blasting you with spit/snot.

I was physically sick right there and then.

The moral here is to register more than 1 finger

Yeah and why would you register your little finger at all?

I have thumb and forefinger of both hands registered on mine.

This is the answer, register left and right bollock... imagine the cops or passport control telling you you have to open your phone... lol

You did. You said your pinkie finger, which is the little finger.

Both hands mean I can unlock the phone no matter which hand I pick it up with.

Ok, then completely wrong usage on my part, it was my index finger as I first stated. I was also talking about opening apps rather than the phone itself, which is why it sounded weird to me.

WiFi as an optional extra when booking a hotel room in the UK.

£3 optional extra at Travelodge, I mean it's 2024 FFS it's pretty much a human right nowadays.

Premier Inn are similar, though they do offer a basic free WiFi which has limited speed. If you want a faster version then you have to pay.

People who daren't put their shopping on the conveyor belt because, although you're in front of them and there's plenty of space, you can't yet reach a divider.

I’m not quite sure what you mean by this, but if you mean selfish pr*cks at a supermarket checkout who don’t put a divider after their shopping even when you’re right there behind them then I entirely agree.

Sorry, I thought it was obvious (it isn't my day today for anything I do). It's pretty much the opposite of what you said. It's when there isn't a divider within reach so you can't put one behind your shopping and the person behind you daren't put theirs on the belt.

Why does that grind your gears? Surely it’s far worse if they start bunging their shopping on the belt without the divider?

Don't worry about it.

I’m worried about it now.

This sounds like the start of a whole new trend.

I've had a shit day following several shit weeks. I don't need yet another person telling me I can't have an opinion. As always, I should have said nothing like everyone expects of me.

Sorry; I didn’t mean to cause upset. I only meant it in a playful manner.
