lookwhaticando Posted 15 June 2008 Posted 15 June 2008 This says it all. There are rumours that we might have a last minute reprieve. If Gregory is/was the choice then there may be a hitch. Boc on TB. He's not trying to sign Warnock again is he?
Tevez Posted 15 June 2008 Posted 15 June 2008 Borrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrring.
lcfc81 Posted 15 June 2008 Posted 15 June 2008 I've just looked on the Sunday Mirror website to check the article about John Gregory as I can't believe it. Is it really that bad that we need to resort to JG? Surely he is no better than Ian Holloway? I feel sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 15 June 2008 Posted 15 June 2008 Link to Mirror Article This really will be testing my patience. How can Mandaric get it so very wrong?
StroudFox Posted 15 June 2008 Posted 15 June 2008 Link to Mirror ArticleThis really will be testing my patience. How can Mandaric get it so very wrong? Let's just hope it is not true and they are filling up blank pages!! Maybe Mandaric thinks that because he worked with Brian Little and Little got us into the Premiership, Gregory will have learnt from him and be able to get us promoted. But I don't think Gregory is the right man at all. Whoops, I used 2 exclamation marks, Fox You Forest will not be happy!

When using John Gregory in a sentence connected with Leicester City i shall let it slide, Its John Gregory after all!!
Shrenchel Posted 15 June 2008 Posted 15 June 2008 Awful awful appointment if it's true. Clearly no one that isn't a complete goon wants to work with Milan but fooking JG?!?! I'd rather get some geezer who has been doing the business in the conference or something than this disabled. Oh well, prove me wrong JG!
Jay Posted 15 June 2008 Posted 15 June 2008 didn't he threaten the youth players at derby that if they didn't sign for his "football agency" that he would never play them
Lillehamring Posted 15 June 2008 Posted 15 June 2008 See my sig. well, his villa record isn't awful, considering it was in the prem over a few seasons and under the very difficult doug ellis, i think he could be worse, having said that, i'd rather have grayson or newell, or even brian little... actually, it's too late and there's plastic surgery on tv---
teblin Posted 15 June 2008 Posted 15 June 2008 didn't he threaten the youth players at derby that if they didn't sign for his "football agency" that he would never play them YEs he did!
davieG Posted 15 June 2008 Author Posted 15 June 2008 From a Bentley's Poster to Peter Jones. Dear Mr Jones While I appreciate you are not directly involved in the recruitment policy at Leicester City I am writing to seek clarification on season ticket refunds. I have renewed my season ticket for the upcoming campaign on the understanding that a suitable manager would be in charge, tasked with returning the club to the Championship. If Mr Gregory is appointed then I feel strongly that I have been misinformed by the club as his CV offers no indication what so ever of Mr Gregory possessing the ability to get the team promoted. Indeed his win % at his last two clubs are below that of previous incumbent Ian Holloway. I would therefore like to know if I could be reimbursed the £450 I have paid should the club appoint Mr Gregory. Regards M Smith. Season ticket holder. Peter's reply.'It appears that the appointment of the manager will be quite soon and when it is made the fans will no doubt express their thoughts. Lots of different opinions as ever but I disagree that the club has misinformed you. It may be best to wait and see what happens'
He's not bald Posted 15 June 2008 Posted 15 June 2008 From a Bentley's Poster to Peter Jones. This could be the worst week ever (if that's possible),first we'll get the fixtures which will finally hammer home our status when we see who we are playing and when in "black and white" and then we will appoint Gregory and realise we probably we be in the same position (or worse) this time next year!
Daggers Posted 15 June 2008 Posted 15 June 2008 It hardly seems worthwhile getting flustered about an appointment that may or may not be made - more so when one considers the numbers of people demanding Holloway be kicked out without listening to those of us (in a very small minority) who said this would happen. You made my bed and now I have to lie in it...and I'm not liking the sticky patch which someone left.

I wanted IH to stay to be honest. Looking at the names floating around now it's going to really kick in. Downward spiral here we come.

Sadly if he went even just 1 game earlier I think we would be attracting a manager to the 2nd tier rather than 3rd. Got to go some to get worse than him, but i'm sure every effort will be made to do so!

OriginalRobboFOX Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 Apart from Gregory's absolutely pants managerial record outside the Prem people surely cant forget him following Little out of City along with Evans?? I hated all 3 of them for leaving us in particular JG... I've simply never forgiven him....
Fox in a Box Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 Gregory once walked out of lcfc..... not forgiven him. end.

Joe. Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 I'm in fear of it being Pearson now after one poster seemed to think so...

JoeyB Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 Davie why did you start this thread? why? Surely this is will be the second worst thing that has happened to us in 4 months if he gets the job. next season slogan if he gets the job. "on Loan to League 2"
Master Fox Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 John Gregory would be a good appointment. Could be, maybe not, might happend, might not, who knows?
