SamL Posted 27 July 2008 Posted 27 July 2008 The Star are today reporting that West Ham are close to signing Joe for £2.5 million. I'm pretty sure they've been saying that for two weeks now. I'd take £2.5million though.
Tommy G Posted 27 July 2008 Posted 27 July 2008 It's not a TT. Didn't he have a brand new Fiesta? Perhaps that was his old one, what does he drive now? I'm sure even Milan wouldn't be stupid enough to offer him 8k a week, thats mental and I'm sure very untrue, I doubt we'll ever know unless people have access to the payroll info!
Stevosevic Posted 27 July 2008 Posted 27 July 2008 Only a handful of our players will be on wages of £8000 or more, Howard, Oakley, N'Gotty and Clemence the most likely. Mattock would not be on £8000, hes still on his first professional contract isn't he? Signing when he was 17.
Babylon Posted 27 July 2008 Posted 27 July 2008 £8,000 a week..... I think Joe wished it was that much.
Bert Posted 27 July 2008 Posted 27 July 2008 Didn't he have a brand new Fiesta?Perhaps that was his old one, what does he drive now? I'm sure even Milan wouldn't be stupid enough to offer him 8k a week, thats mental and I'm sure very untrue, I doubt we'll ever know unless people have access to the payroll info! He did. Brand spanking new Audi now.
Tommy G Posted 27 July 2008 Posted 27 July 2008 He did.Brand spanking new Audi now. Oh dear, at 18? He needs to keep his feet on the ground What sort of Audi, is it an A3? I'm hoping so because thats about the only acceptable type he could justify - but thats still pushing it as his age!
David Guiza Posted 27 July 2008 Posted 27 July 2008 Oh dear, at 18? He needs to keep his feet on the ground What sort of Audi, is it an A3? I'm hoping so because thats about the only acceptable type he could justify - but thats still pushing it as his age! I know it's only a friendley but he was all over the place yesterday was making hard work of marking a blue sq player
BlabyFox Posted 27 July 2008 Posted 27 July 2008 But what about this? staying put i think i saw this on a more reliable site too, maybe lcfc official site or blue army

JoeyB Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 With villa having no defenders fit, Bouma ankle dislocated, i think villa could come in for him now
davieG Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 But what about this? staying put i think i saw this on a more reliable site too, maybe lcfc official site or blue army Maybe because it doesn't say he's staying put
Babylon Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 Maybe because it doesn't say he's staying put The next person to post that and say he is staying put should get a lifetime ban.
CupidStunt Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 But what about this? staying put i think i saw this on a more reliable site too, maybe lcfc official site or blue army Staying put? Let me interpret that link for you In other words, what he means is this -> I want to leave thats for sure, but at the same time,i dont want to look like a complete bell-end,just in case no-one wants me at the price lcfc are asking but as yet there are no firm offers for me,and a deal has yet to be struck on what my fee will be,the club are holding out for more money than the 2 million or so they have been offered from an un-named club, in the hope that a few clubs will be interested in me and start a bidding war, even though i must admit myself,i aint that good, and MM should take the money he has been offered. So to summarise,I have been told by my agent to tell Joe pubic that i am remained focus on the job in hand, and to do me best for the boys.keep um sweet so to speak
lildave3 Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 With villa having no defenders fit, Bouma ankle dislocated, i think villa could come in for him now Doubt it. There is no way he is good enough to start for a premier league team yet.
Hackneyisblue Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 Doubt it. There is no way he is good enough to start for a premier league team yet. My thoughts exactly, I do hope that Mattock doesn't think as highly of himself as some posters do on here.

Ash Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 Now villas leftback bouma is injured and out for a while, Do u think Villa will swoop in for Mattock? Wouldnt accept anything less than £2m

Austin Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 Cant see Villa coming in now .. been strongly linked with Shorey from reading
Sods Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 I think the injury will mean that Mattock wont be going to Villa just yet.
Houdini Logic Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 My thoughts exactly, I do hope that Mattock doesn't think as highly of himself as some posters do on here. I don't think anybody thinks he is a Premiership defender. The lad has just turned 18 - give him a couple of years and he could be a cracking left back (a position which is notoriously difficult to cover). If i was one of the big premiership clubs would i spend some 2 Million on the gamble? Most definitely
Narborough Bod Posted 29 July 2008 Posted 29 July 2008 Oh dear, at 18? He needs to keep his feet on the ground What sort of Audi, is it an A3? I'm hoping so because thats about the only acceptable type he could justify - but thats still pushing it as his age! It's an A5 with a nice big boot to fit in his golf clubs, as seen at Whetstone yesterday. Oh the life of a footballer, all the younguns rolled up at about 4 ...even Stearman was there. I asked him to make sure Weso didn't fall out of his gold buggy, don't need any more injuries.
