The "Wtf? Goals?" Hinckley Post Match Thread.

Sounded like a good game. I'm looking forward to hearing the reports of those present.

Based on the radio commentary, this side sounded our most impressive over the two halfs to me, made up of all the players that played. But again, I'm looking forward to the reviews of our travelling contingent, it's so hard to tell from the radio.

Henderson

Gilbert Morrison Worley Chambers

Gradel Adams Oakley Dyer

Howard Chambers

Adams played right wing it seems but I think Gradel and Adams sounded like they'd need to play based on the radio coverage.

Nice to win, good for a lot of players to get some minutes under their belts and it sounds like the fans were entertained. A good game all round hopefully.

We won all (Or almost all) our friendlies in the past two season's we ain't exactly set the world alight have we?!

Friendlies are about fitness, Friendlies are boring, Friendlies count, show and prove nothing. Obviously i'd rather win them all even if it was to raise confidence but don't worry. This is my feelings about friendlies and we really cannot judge or gauge much from them. Well done for the comeback though City - Sounded like a good game.

Easy

Obviously I can't comment on performance but it must have been entertaining to watch. 23 players managed to get a run out and nice to see 5 different scorers and goals coming from the wingers.

You can't read too much into this game but the defence is certainly worrying, although I very much doubt that the first half defence will play together ever again.

Aye. The commentator (I have no idea what his name is) kept saying the side in the first half was our first team but I don't agree at all, I think he mixed things up and just wanted to gain a view of many different players. It's not the one's he's sure of he needs to say the most, it's those he's unsure of. Magunda is pretty much on his last chance for example, I doubt he's anywhere near the first team as well. I reckon Mattock if he stays and Tunchev are almost guaranteed to start.

Forget the defense.

If Mattock stays I can see it being

Mattock Tunchev Morrison J. Chambers/Gilbert

So I wouldn't judge on todays performance

I won't be suprised to see another keeper come in now though, even if its just cover for Henderson. I don't know whether Logan was at fault for any of the goals or not but I don't see him having a future here.

I'd agree with that. Apart from Gilbert, our first half defence sounded not too great (especially N'Gotty).

I wasnt there to see the team play, so it would be unfair to blame any specific person for the goals, but i do agree from what i heard on commentary that N'gotty didnt sound too good. I wonder if its time he hangs up his boots!

Gradel, Adams and Dyer sound like exciting players. Looking forward to seeing them play!

Yeh, it is hard to tell on the radio for sure. But just from watching him at the back end of last season as well, he seemed so slow and just didnt seem to care to be honest. Dont get me wrong id love it if he turned it around and started performing as he adds some experience to the team. Overall though i dont think he'll figure much next season anyway, simply because we've now signed Worley, Morrison and Tunchev plus when Kisnorbo is fit that makes four centre backs in my opinion better and i can see N'gotty drifting out of the team.

But like you said commentary is really unfair to base an opinion on...

Just got in.

Worley looks cracking, stood out more than Morrison for me. Magunda (sp?) and Rowe-Turner looked pretty shocking and were a bit of a wake-up call to anyone who thinks we should be playing 90% youngsters next year.

Gradel took his goal fantastically and his bit of play before hand was notable, but I didn't see anything too exciting beyond that. Keep in mind, though, I left just before the fifth as we've just had to get back to look after me ma'.

Jimbo looked lively while Oakley just looked uninspiring. Likewise DJ Campbell, Matty Fryatt and Big Steve.

I'd like to see Nicky Adams play in the middle before I make any judgement but Burnham's side doesn't look too bad besides that. If Mablo posts later on I guess he survived the clutches of Alan Sheehan n'all. ;)

PS: Gilbert's an obvious talent. Again, I'm not going to make rash comments off the back of one showing but I like him a bit more than Mattock so far.

What was the Final score and scorers please? ;0) :scarf:

Hinckley 4 (Webster x 2, Murphy(?) x2(?)) Leicester 5 (Howard, Nicky Adams, Gradel, Fryatt, Chambo)

Adams netted as well didnt he...

Oh aye that's right. Adams got the second, good goal actually. Well made - assist from Dyer I think - who has extraordinarily skinner legs. Like. Skinnier than mine.

Yeah. Howard Adams Gradel Fryatt A. Chambers.

Good to hear Wesolowski played well, I think he's an important player for us and I hope he stays fit.

Gradel, Chambers, Chambers, Adams, Dyer, Weso, were all great.

Oakley Howard DJ N'Gotty looked like they didn't want to be there.

Gradels goal was quality.

Can't be bothered to write a big ratings post.

You and me both, sir. Looked fantastic today.

Is that Kilworth?

Yeah it is, I think you can see a bit of Fez as well, probably just cut me off to be honest.

Good to have football back on a Saturday.

Stand outs today would probably be Ash Chambers, Nicky Adams and Lloyd Dyer. Both the wingers linked up well with the wing backs and seemed exciting.

Howard did ok, as did Gilbert.

Cracking goal from Gradel, top class. Other than that he wasn't involved much.

Impressed by new signing Lloyd Dyer in the first half and Matty Oakley was a different class.

Micheal Morrison also impressed and Maxi Gradel lived up to the hype in the second half.

DJ Campbell was absolutely garbage yet again, except for the spectacular bicycle kick that hit the post he gave the ball away everytime.

Another impressive travelling contigent!

What a defencive shambles! They just didnt seem intrested especially 1st half. There were a few people that shined (I.E. A. Chambers, DJ, Gradel and Dyer) nothing spectacular.
