Finnegan Posted 12 July 2008 Posted 12 July 2008 Ah seen. I saw you on the way out at the burger hatch on the end of the main stand. I was sat up there with the ol'man.
SemperEadem Posted 12 July 2008 Posted 12 July 2008 Dyer, gilbert, gradel, a.chambers and weso played great ! Dj's over head kick was quality
Finnegan Posted 12 July 2008 Posted 12 July 2008 What a defencive shambles! They just didnt seem intrested especially 1st half. There were a few people that shined (I.E. A. Chambers, DJ, Gradel and Dyer) nothing spectacular. 1. It was a casual friendly. 2. Magunda and Rowe-Turner aren't likely to play again this season, chill. He's just getting people fit. 3. There's a post match thread already. 4. Christ's sakes, grow up. Errrr. Too many mods spoil the broth. I'm off for tea. Whoever else is potching around in here can carry on
Mark Posted 12 July 2008 Posted 12 July 2008 We've scored some goals. So positive in my book, I couldn't care less how many we concede at the moment so long as we're learning to score, we've got the rest of pre season to sharpen up at the back.
Sparky Posted 12 July 2008 Posted 12 July 2008 Impressed with Morrison his distrubution was good and he looked composed , not sure about Worley though looked good in the air but got done a few times on the deck . Gradels passing was woeful but made up for it with a stunning strike , thought Oakley did well 1st half but King alongside him didnt have his best game . Kishishev was fairly neat and tidy also

And plus at least 2 of those players won't play in our back 4. (the ones from the first half) i'd have thought we'll have a new left back and i'd guess tunchev will play.

Unabomber Posted 12 July 2008 Posted 12 July 2008 We beat them 3 - 1 last season I think, and got relagated, so it doesn't mean anything that we conceeded 4. Was just to boost fitness and provide some entertainment for the fans who wanted to go. Was a good game, and good to see the new signings.
Daggers Posted 12 July 2008 Posted 12 July 2008 DJ was shocking, the same lack of awareness that has blighted him since he arrived. Max's goal was sweet. Nuneaton - have a ****ing word with yourself. Twenty five ****ing minutes I sat trapped in your town centre.
isaidno Posted 12 July 2008 Posted 12 July 2008 The defence in the 1st half was shocking apart from Gilbert, better in the 2nd half. Henderson looked the better of the 2 keepers. Gradel took his goal well but Ashley Chambers was the star man for me.
Simi Posted 12 July 2008 Posted 12 July 2008 Where were you sat / stood, Daggers? Stood with us in the second half behind the goal on the terrace.
Daggers Posted 12 July 2008 Posted 12 July 2008 Where were you sat / stood, Daggers? Behind the goal for the first half until the cnut with the three cnuting children were a bunch of cnuts - throwing bits of hot dog at my boy. Moved back across to Tom, Dave et al.
Poakey Posted 12 July 2008 Posted 12 July 2008 Is that Kilworth? Ha,didnt he fall into the advertising hoardings just before half time?and run on the pitch at the end,my brothers on that pic on the extreme left, and i was stood next to him)not in the pic.
JoeyB Posted 12 July 2008 Posted 12 July 2008 Nigel pearson is mardy god, wouldnt even wave. Max Gradel took his goal well, but didnt exactly set the game alight
syston_fox Posted 12 July 2008 Posted 12 July 2008 Nigel pearson is mardy god, wouldnt even wave.Max Gradel took his goal well, but didnt exactly set the game alight That's because it wasnt Pearson. Pearson was sat in the crowd watching the game

To clarify, Kilworth is the guy in the white shirt in the top left.
Poakey Posted 12 July 2008 Posted 12 July 2008 To clarify, Kilworth is the guy in the white shirt in the top left. Oh,it was the guy with the hat on that i thought you were refering to.
purpleronnie Posted 12 July 2008 Posted 12 July 2008 I know its a friendly, but conceading 4 goals to a low non league club, that cant be good.
Finnegan Posted 12 July 2008 Posted 12 July 2008 Oh,it was the guy with the hat on that i thought you were refering to. I figured. I know its a friendly, but conceading 4 goals to a low non league club, that cant be good. It was just a friendly. And we conceded three of those goals with a bunch of kids and Bruno N'Gotty at the back, to be fair. And Webster took his two incredibly well.

Guest Posted 12 July 2008 Posted 12 July 2008 Nuneaton - have a ****ing word with yourself. Twenty five ****ing minutes I sat trapped in your town centre. I always wondered why it was called Treacletown.
clazkel Posted 12 July 2008 Posted 12 July 2008 First half - Adams, Oakley (at times) and Dyer looked good Second half - Gradel, Morrison looked good, and Ashley Chambers looked great!
