BlabyFox Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 Ricky seems to always have a cult following who continually praise him and moan when he isn't in the squad. I go the nearly every home game but never friendlies so i have never really seen him play. Whats so good about him?
Daggers Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 Whats so good about him? He cured Aids, cancer and solved Fermat's Last Theorem while eating a Big Mac.
BlabyFox Posted 28 July 2008 Author Posted 28 July 2008 He cured Aids, cancer and solved Fermat's Last Theorem while eating a Big Mac. no, seriously. but still

Whats so good about him? He is big and strong and holds the ball up well but is far from the finished article! I would like to se him go on loan to a League 2 club for a season, think it would do him good and try for first team next season!

Agree. Joking aside, his touch isn't quite there yet but physicality is half the battle with youngsters and he has that in abundance. He needs to play some proper football though. A season in League Two or the Conference would be perfect.

davieG Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 His size gives him a massive advantage at reserve and particularly Academy level. He needs to ensure that he can step up the quality of his play when he comes up against experienced defenders, the higher up he goes in the game the less the advantage of size will become.

He finishes chances consistently.
billyfox1 Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 he knows where the goal is too. lots of goals scored, admittedly at reserve/academy level but not many headers. He finishes chances consistently. Niether has Steve 'Can't Jump' Howard so i wouldn't worry
Father Ted Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 Looks like Heskey, is built like Heskey, runs like Heskey and scores like surprise surprise.... Heskey.

It was blatantly obvious against Quorn that their defenders couldn't cope with the psyhical side of his game. He bullied them off the ball.
Thracian Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 Reni "AMeal" Sappleton or "Ramsap" is a cult figure because he has no peers. As a player his thunderous hooves leave smouldering marks on the grass behind him and are testimony to the Scorched Earth policy adopted by City whenever he's on the pitch. Basically, Ramsap devours all before him, spits out the leftovers and when the net finally shudders that's not just due to the severity of his shot but can actually be the supernatural manifestation of stark terror in the netting itself. Trawlermen have been contacted to see if they know of any netting across the world which can face up to Ramsap without flinching but so far without success. Ramsap is an irresistible leadership force, a modern Alexander The Great, drawing his battleforce in and around him like a giant magnet and instilling them with a confidence the like of which they've never known. He can be baulked, he can be frustrated but he cannot, will not be stopped. Sooner or later the force against him falters, the breach is made and his marauding servants wreak their havoc. Resistance becomes futile. The shirt becomes his standard. Conquest is inevitable. Ramsap isn' just a cult, he's a presence. Nothing can escape his will.

Calum McDermott Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 He cured Aids, cancer and solved Fermat's Last Theorem while eating a Big Mac. HAHA
Father Ted Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 King Kong to him was an ant. Ricky only comes out at night but sometimes comes out in the day to play his beloved sport of football for which he invented when kicking a Chinese labourers head around in 56BC He has special powers that not even his children will inherit. As proved at the Quorn game, if you get in the way of a Sappletizer rocket it will either take the hand of the goalie's off or go straight through you. When he was being chased out of Jerusalem in 0AD, he took disguise and became a man known as Jesus...
lcfcrinaldi Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 Some say mr. T is his father, others say his feet are made of volcanic rock, all we know is his name is Sappzilla
Nationwider Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 Arsene Wenger was recently quoted as saying that Sappleton would become "bigger than God". This is in contrast to Sir Alex Ferguson, who is reputed to be in such awe of the Sappletizer's manifold talents that he daren't even utter his name.
Corky Posted 28 July 2008 Posted 28 July 2008 Kevin Keegan the Messiah? They are having a laugh. Ricky Sappleton is the Messiah.
