I've heard about those Todmorden fans. The Leeds United fans of cricket apparently (without that WACCOE song).

whenever there has been a riot , why has no-one ever thought to shout "just stop being so stupid " before ;

it would save a fortune in water canons and cs gas :D

I'd have thought it would be better to have it as a preventative measure - having police shouting "Just don't think about being stupid later!" when greeting fans arriving at Leicester train station.

How funny would It have been at Forest last season when it kicked off, the tannoy bloke shouting "Stop it, don't you realise how stupid you are" lol

I couldn't believe how chuffed that annoucer was with himself for stopping the "mass brawl" :laugh:

Hailing from the North, I tend to fight most days of the week. Particularly at weekends, where I tend to have up to half a dozen, often simultaneously. I prefer fighting strangers for no reason, but family are good too. Fighting at the cricket is enjoyable and very much the place to be seen fighting in 2008. Pubs are so last year.

I had a fight with the postman this morning. Nothing out of the ordinary. He delivered my post as usual after breakfast, I threw my pint over him, we brawled a little, some fat lasses shouted and sweated a lot, then we got chips with gravy and it all simmered down.

Banning alcohol is the answer to everything.

Alcohol is the cause of more than 70% of police call outs...for everyone who has complained about police response times, or just generally about police, perhaps if you complained about the use of alcohol...your complaints about the police would disappear.

by the way....just why does anyone drink?

an excuse to behave appallingly?

an excuse to pretend to be someone you are not?

an excuse to become violent?

i just dont get it

Drinking alcohol is for losers who want to cause trouble.

Just say that.

I drank yesterday so I had an excuse to have 10 fights and brick some windows.

Why is it that other cultures can drink copious amounts and have a good time? Why can't we be like that, as a nation?

My niece, who I think is too young to be watching that programme but hey ho, loves Booze Britain, and laughs at the stupidity of so-called grown ups. It has said it is never going to get drunk. :rolleyes: But you can see the sentiment; if a (nearly) 10 yr old can see the problems, why can't some adults?
