Guest Posted 26 September 2008 Posted 26 September 2008 I pity that poor kid. It's the baby you should feel sorry for, not Raj!!
Jimmy Posted 27 September 2008 Posted 27 September 2008 Looks like it's staying then. seems the only way we can get rid of it is to not celebrate goals ...
Fez of Mahrez Posted 27 September 2008 Posted 27 September 2008 Would they still play it if we scored a late consolation at 6-0 down? Is there a list of times when they can play it and times when they won't? Where do you draw the line?
lcfc_jme Posted 27 September 2008 Posted 27 September 2008 Would they still play it if we scored a late consolation at 6-0 down? Is there a list of times when they can play it and times when they won't? Where do you draw the line? They played it a couple of seasons back when we got tonked by QPR at home and we scored a penalty in the last minute, bearing in mind the game was dead and buried and we had no hope of even mounting a come-back, didn't they? Some people still danced around to it, as well. (using that as my example as it's the game where I was ejected and haven't really been to many at home otherwise)
Fox You Forest Posted 27 September 2008 Posted 27 September 2008 Would they still play it if we scored a late consolation at 6-0 down? Is there a list of times when they can play it and times when they won't? Where do you draw the line? The embarrassment. You would like to think that they wouldn't bother, they probably would though.
lavrentis Posted 27 September 2008 Posted 27 September 2008 I had a dream last night about this it was the Leicester Leeds game and I got called out of the crowd to ask a question to Mr Mandaric. He goes "So then... What is your name?" I reply with "My name is Laurence" Mandaric, "What is your question?" "Why don't we get rid of goal music" I abruptly thought of a plan and interrupted Mandaric and said "Cheer the loudest you can if you want to get rid of goal music" For about 2 seconds, the was nothing but silence and I started to feel my face go red. Then behind me I heard a cheer coming from L1, It quickly surpassed to the kop and even the west stand was chanting. I went and sat back down in my seat, and when we scored a goal (Fryatt) I woke up. Very very weird.
Mark Posted 27 September 2008 Posted 27 September 2008 How loud was that today? Way to kill a celebration LCFC.
samlcfc Posted 27 September 2008 Posted 27 September 2008 wen we scored 2day I wanted to celebrate but I actually couldn't to that damn crappy music
lildave3 Posted 27 September 2008 Posted 27 September 2008 After seeing the young lady shake her booty to it in front of me, I now like Chelsea Dagger. I hope she's there every week.
davieG Posted 27 September 2008 Author Posted 27 September 2008 I had a good look around today when it started, was there a slight delay? Anyway there seemed to be many that didn't join in this facile animation, is it starting to lose it's appeal or was it because we scored so early?
Tilley Posted 27 September 2008 Posted 27 September 2008 After seeing the young lady shake her booty to it in front of me, I now like Chelsea Dagger.I hope she's there every week. You really are an idiot Ben.

When I looked around, just about everybody was doing it. I celebrated in my own way anyway, purposefully trying to avoid the 'Chelsea Dagger dance'.
lildave3 Posted 27 September 2008 Posted 27 September 2008 You really are an idiot Ben. Why so? What better reasoning is there?

I didn't see many not joining in.
The Stig Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 I didn't see many not joining in. I didn't see one person join in. Although the fact I wasn't at the game might have had something to do with it.
Corky Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 I had a good look around today when it started, was there a slight delay?Anyway there seemed to be many that didn't join in this facile animation, is it starting to lose it's appeal or was it because we scored so early? Most were joining in. Not their fault though, they like it. It's the club's fault.
davieG Posted 28 September 2008 Author Posted 28 September 2008 I didn't see many not joining in. Most were joining in. Not their fault though, they like it. It's the club's fault. Most where joining in but there were a lot I could see both in the Kop, the East stand (Kop End) and around me in the West Stand/Kop Corner (Cheap Seats). If I had to put a figure on it I'd say between 5 & 10% certainly more than I'd seen in other matches.
lcfc_jme Posted 28 September 2008 Posted 28 September 2008 Why so? What better reasoning is there? She wasn't naked and asking you to give her a seeing to.
Guest Posted 29 September 2008 Posted 29 September 2008 Of course observers would say fans are joining in. After all, sections of the crowd are jumping up and down, then they blast out "Chelsea Dagger". Just how many people are still in their own post-celebratory gestures, and how many are actually joining in? I wouldn't like to guess.....

I noticed quite a few in L1 just stop what they were doing, almost our whole row.
Guest Posted 29 September 2008 Posted 29 September 2008 I noticed quite a few in L1 just stop what they were doing, almost our whole row. The only way I can see those of us who don't like it is to do just that. Stop and stand still. I will not dance to it. Even in my own time, and to the tune in my head!
Matt Posted 25 October 2008 Posted 25 October 2008 I meant to mention this earlier, Did anyone notice on Tuesday (Think it was after our 2nd goal) the music was really delayed and it was like people had forgot how to celebrate, and just stood up and it was as if they were waiting for the music - Eventually it came and people started the "celebration dance".
