Of course all Muslims aren't terrorists.

Sunni Muslims do seem to produce the most fcuked up people on the planet though, its actually hard to think the last time we went a few days without watching a group representing it massacring people.

A Mumbai style attack will happen here one day, no doubt.

For some strange reason we allow the Madrassas here to teach what they want, we allow Mosques like the one in East London to preach hatred every week that produces people like Leithwaite etc etc and we are scared to death to tackle it.

The only people who can stop it is the moderate Islamic community and from my experience down there they don't seem to want to. 9 months and counting now since the (no homosexuality/alcohol stickers) local rules were enforced.

I still find so so bizarre how a lot of atheists spend their life mocking every other faith but will absolutely defend Islam to the hilt.

It's never going to change now but inviting this cult on mass onto on shores will go down as the most stupid decision our politicians every made, just educate yourself by looking at every other country in the World that has taken Sunni Muslims in on mass.

 

Really? I mod the religion section of thestudentroom, and most of the threads we get are people taking the piss out of Islam. A few seem desperate to defend it to the hilt, but they're the twattish hippies who seem to think that Islam is a race and that anyone who opposes it is the Ku Klux Klan mark II (not exactly helped by the EDL protesting about "Islam" while generally hating anyone who isn't Caucasian).

 

That sounds pretty much like a Atheist version of most Islamic countries.

It's remarkable how Muslims are antagonised the way they are. I'd imagine most people didn't want to exile all Irish nationals during the troubles. My grandad was Irish. Does that mean I'm a suspected IRA member? Should I apologise for what the IRA did?

Perhaps had we not invaded their land during the crusades, or had an atheist U.S.S.R not invaded it simply to expand, the minority of extremists may not be so volatile towards Western culture.

 

 

Not really - what Matt was suggesting was one where you had your religious beliefs but didn't get to force it down peoples throats: i.e. religion is a personal thing. Islamic countries tend to have the complete opposite: religion isn't a personal thing, it's something to be made public and forced upon people (note that in 7 of them (Afghanistan, Iran, Maldives, Mauritania, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Sudan), being an atheist is a capital offence and in several others you have to declare a religion in order to obtain any legal rights). A "religion should be personal" society is the complete opposite to modern Islamic states.

 

 

I don't remember the time that the U.S.S.R was western, but the idea that we were dicks to them in the past is a suitable enough reason for them to attack and kill people is something of an over-reaction, no?

I don't defend Islam I defend good people. Did anyone see the doctor on the news who's family were murdered? Even after what had happened he was not advocating or seeking revenge. How many on here would say they would be the same?

Even though I am a secularist I admire the way he said his faith would get him through and he would try and do good within the community. He also said his with did a lot of work helping others. Their religion does not matter to me. He is a doctor because he generally wants to help people as did his wife.

I abhor the extremist side of religions but I will not pigeon hole all as same. It is the person first which I believe human nature is basically good and caring brought on by thousands of years of evolution and free thought.

It's bad enough having to watch people who stabbed to death a ten year old walk out of prison after four years but when the cnuts are taking the piss out of the case on the courtroom steps being pulled up for other things a years later it's taking the piss.

In the last three years he's gone from attracted to Social Conservatism, agreeing with the Mail's issues like Marriage, abortion,a family values, they were right up his street but he's changed his mind in the last three years? lol

 

Come on.

 

He changed his mind when he got the lead job at the Huff, I'm 99% sure behind close doors he feels what 95% of Muslims feel about gays, teenage pregnancies and marriage and went for the usual cheap clap from the traditional BBC audience.

 

He's a hypocrite, a populist and a liar.

Unbelievable.  Hopefully the home secretary ignores them.

 

I mentioned it earlier in the "grind my gears thread" - Quite incredible behaviour like this is now a 4 year sentence.

 

Even babies lives are cheap in UK now.

Our justice system protects allsorts of paedos and baby harmers. Well known for it. Saw them let one paedo off and not send him to jail recently becuase "it would upset his family".

I usually like to think of myself as having fairly liberal attitudes but these incidents re-enforce the case for compulsory sterilisation.
