Lovejoy Posted 6 January 2009 Posted 6 January 2009 I paid £18m for Falcao who I consider to be noticably better than Lewandowski in terms of performance so far this season. One of the things that I love the most about Lew' is he'll come for less than 1m to a good League One side in the first season. All of you paying over the odds for him will get a good striker, he's Prem quality on my game easily (his finishing and composure are both 19 with like 17 heading, jumping, strength and off the ball on mine in the fourth season) but you won't hype him as I did as half of my joy was his sheer value for money. (42 league goals for less than a mil? yes plz.) Keirrison and Alex Teixeira have both left after wanting a new challenge; pocketed £22.5m and £20m respectively, so not bad business. However I now have only Lewandowski in terms of recognised 1st team strikers, and an inflated wage bill. I'm £5m in the red, but do still have £18m in the transfer kitty. I've lined up a couple of nice loan signings, but am wondering whether to take the risk of signing another forward .

He was "Extremely Interested" in me with a value of about £500k in January of my first season. I didn't quite have the funds so I waited til the end of the year and picked him up for about £950k + a few clauses (about 1.2m total?) Left it late and was battling it out with half of the Danish and Norwegian leagues to sign him, mind. But he made the right choice! Fellow FM'sI have sinned. I have not played the beautiful game for 2 weeks now. What is my punishment? My laptop's finally properly fixed tomorrow! I'm going to be inseparable from this bad boy.

Been at Leicester 3 Seasons and hardly spent any money, Promoted from League One then relegated from Championship (Which Led to me being sacked) re-took them over, and promoted again from League One. kisnorbo and Tunchev both left on frees after refusing to sign new deals. Most I spent was £1.6 on Ben Foster when I was in the Championship and he has stayed with me. Got a very youthful side currently in the Championship Where I have played 5 won 5. Will put some pictures up as soon as I have fathomed it out, but my current centre Mids comprise of Andy King and a Youth player who come through when I was promoted to the Championship 1st time around.

And Keirrison as only worth £7m, so a £22.5m bid was very tempting, sometimes you just have to gamble when it's time for a player to move on . Christian Zapata for £28m though, big gamble that one.

About 7 players rejected new deal. Arshavin will leave at the end of the season. They are beginning to doubt my ability as a manager. We squeezed through the German Cup against Duisberg on penalities. Now in the quarter-finals. Might not play on this until Saturday. Coursework to be done (one with the assignment, my partner appears a dodgy character and I don't want to be shafted).

Ins: - DJ Campbell (loan for the season with option to buy from Leicester) - Jason Euell (£140,000 from Southampton) - Celestine Babayaro (Free) - Dean Shiels (£200,000 From Hibs) Outs: Deon Burton (£110,000 to St.Mirren) Steve Watson (£100,000 to Leeds United) Played 4 games at the minute..Campbell has scored 3 in 4 games and im sitting 8th in the table at the moment.
