davieG Posted 7 September 2008 Posted 7 September 2008 Source Ivanho could be heading for Leicester, after years at Liverpool, Birmingham and Wigan h SOCCERVOICE.COM, 07.09.2008 Leicester is in the race for a promotion back to the Championship, and ivanhoe could be in line for a return to his former club The People reports that Wigan forward Emile Heskey could be ready to quit Wigan after this season. The former Liverpool and England forward has a past at Leicester. Heskey, born in Leicester, and a first team player there from 1995 to 2000, could be moving back if his home town club manage to get back up into the Championship. Emile William Ivanhoe Heskey is his full name. He was just minutes before the transfer window closed linked with a £ 10 million move to Tottenham, but it never happened. Why would Heskey return to Leicester ? The player will next season be in his 30's and all the top clubs in the Premier League might be looking for other names, despite seeing the player linked with Tottenham. A chance to help Leicester back up to the Premier League and stay on for a new great period at the club, could actually be a great goal for Heskey and maybe finish of a great career with three or four seasons at his home town club.

R.O.L.E.X Posted 7 September 2008 Posted 7 September 2008 thats is a loads of shit u cud dream on about that 1
Joe. Posted 7 September 2008 Posted 7 September 2008 Oh how good this would be. But let's face it, it's clearly bollocks.
dog_4 Posted 7 September 2008 Posted 7 September 2008 yes please, Signing gilbert on a permanant in the summer is the first task. The second is to try and sign Marton Fulop , cause lets face it there's been no one has good has this guy at leicester and then to sign Heskey on top would be awesome. That's all i'd sign to be honest, we don't need to take the usual route of signing 7-10 players after promotion, the successful teams add slowly year on year out.
Thracian Posted 7 September 2008 Posted 7 September 2008 It is easy to dismiss the idea but far more unlikely things have happened.
dandannieldanok Posted 7 September 2008 Posted 7 September 2008 It is easy to dismiss the idea but far more unlikely things have happened. What like Elvis Hammond moving to Mallorca for a seven figure sum last summer? ................oh wait that was another football rumour special printed in The People. It ain't happening and you know it.
NorthernFox Posted 7 September 2008 Posted 7 September 2008 It would be absolutely fanbloodytastic if it happened but considering he is still in the picture for Engerland I will eat a very small hat if it occurs.

It ain't happening and you know it. You view's as good as the next one but don't bring me into it. If we are promoted and MM is determined enough, I'm sure he could forward an extremely tempting proposal. Whether it might be tempting enough would depend on his options and what he wants from the next part of his life. The idea certainly appeals to me though cos it really would be amusing if Heskey did re-sign for us and started a new career as a central defender.

sdb Posted 7 September 2008 Posted 7 September 2008 utter bollox! an england international to a mediocre championship team (if we even get there). and i know he's got a lot of attributes that a good centre back would need but sorry, he's as clumsy as hell sometimes, and i love him. in an emergency maybe, but he's decent enough up front thanks very much.
moseeds Posted 7 September 2008 Posted 7 September 2008 Funny that just commenting between friends and family how great it'd be to see Emile finish his career off back home
Corky Posted 7 September 2008 Posted 7 September 2008 As much as Emile loves our club, this is bollcks
Salieri Posted 7 September 2008 Posted 7 September 2008 I think there is a fair chance he will come back "home" to finish his career. Unfortunatley i just cant see it for at least another 2 or 3years. He would be more than welcome, i still have great respect and admiration for the guy as i expect do most foxes fans. Cant say i felt the same when hearing about the possibility of Savage returning!
Alexikokopops Posted 7 September 2008 Posted 7 September 2008 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHJAKh;suioghfuierwg;auogsh;obfedkjcas zxo[
lcfcrinaldi Posted 7 September 2008 Posted 7 September 2008 As much as i would love this to happen, its not basicaly. Maybe when hes 35 or something when hes useless, but not next season. Or maybe Mandaric is doing a man city and is in contact with some Dubia multi billion dollar oil mogal who wants to take over, but actualy the Heskey thing is more likely.
MPH Posted 7 September 2008 Posted 7 September 2008 many thanks for the good laugh. someone must be really bored sitting in their office to of written that.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 7 September 2008 Posted 7 September 2008 I could see Heskey wanting to sign off at City, but he really won't come here considering his current involvement in the England set up.
