Kilworthfox Posted 12 September 2008 Posted 12 September 2008 I was listening to Talksport this morning and they were going on about Great Debuts! Many people had texted in and even a LCFC fan with Stan the man Collymore's 2 goals in the 4v2 win over Sunderland! :w00t: Yes I was annoyed at Ronnie Irani, I thought that he may have been given incorrect info, but have decided to blame him completely and carry on the Leicester city hate campaign from the media. Ronnie Irani ****! The topic however got me thinking about great Debuts, I can Remember Iwan Roberts in 93/94 (did he get a hat trick? I seem to remember he did ) Obviously Stan's hatrick vs Scumderland Also more recently Zolt Latzko with his 1 good game in a LCFC shirt vs Kovscum.
Unabomber Posted 12 September 2008 Posted 12 September 2008 Matt Oakley's against Coventry was good. So was Zsolt Laczko's
breadandcheesebrother Posted 12 September 2008 Posted 12 September 2008 So was Zsolt Laczko's Steve Corica had a good first game, as i recall. Went fairly anonymous after mark mcghee abandoned ship though.

Tim Flowers had a great debut for us when we lost 2-1 against Arsenal.
LeeCovFox Posted 12 September 2008 Posted 12 September 2008 Iwan Roberts got two against Wolves. We were 2-0 down and Iwan popped up to recscue a point. I remember this vividly, as I was at a friend's house. I asked his mum to find out the score for me. It was 2-0 to Wolves she said. I refused to believe her. She shouted at me quite loud. Fat bitch.

I came back from Uni to go to this, he should have scored a hat trick but skied a sitter sliding in from about 5 yards. Ah well, he was a legend from the first game. btw, original post, Collymore didn't make his debut against Sunderland. he made his debut in the previous game which I think was a 0-0 draw with Watford.

Home debut then
Narborough Bod Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Robert Alleyne (full debut), I'll be amazed if anyone remembers him. Mid 80's against Sheff Wed.
mikey54 Posted 13 September 2008 Posted 13 September 2008 Mark Bright - bought as a replacement for Gary Lineker who went to Everton. First game of the season was a home game AGAINST Everton. Bright scored two crackers - but that was about all he did at Leicester.
