Tommeh Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Say what you like about it, fans on the pitch etc. scum, hooligans and all that bollocks just like standers...........but I thought it was fantastic the sheer elation from everyone around me was brilliant, players coming in front of us and no chelsea dagger shite. What do people think of fans going on the pitch? Some people I heard on the way out seemed appauled, I personally thought it was great, a proper way to celebrate and ok they may have gone a bit too far, but surely thats what happens when celebrating potential winner? Me and ched discussed this quite a bit on the way home and to be honest I'm sure a few were caught but there was no harm done at all and if their banned then it realy is coming to something.

It was brilliant without Chelsea Dagger. I'm glad to see Orient don't use music when they score. As for the people on the pitch, it was just elation. Maybe it wasn't the best way to show it, but they weren't being aggressive or threatening, just over-excitable.
Tilley Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 I had people grabbing me in all directions, jumped on, shirts off, & I loved it. The feeling was fantastic, as you say Tommeh, no Chelsea Dagger, & it is so much better. As for the lads who went on the pitch, it caused no harm, they were ecstatic their team had just scored in the last few minutes, they are passionate & if they get banned, then it is stupid.
SamL Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 That's what they call a proper goal celebration, everyone went mad. To the people who went on the pitch, I'm sure it was just a spare of the moment thing. That's the way they chose to celebrate. If they're going to be banned then they shouldn't have been allowed to get on the pitch in the first place. I haven't got anything against anyone who went on the pitch, calling them scum would be unwarranted in my opinion. It was nice to celebrate without any goal music. A very rare moment.
Unabomber Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 I had people grabbing me in all directions, jumped on, shirts off, & I loved it.
Lovejoy Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 I must admit I was full of admiration for those lads who ran on the pitch. Did anyone else notice though that the 1st wished he hadn't as soon as he did, but then thought fook it and celebrated on the pitch anyway ?
Asha Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 I was jumping around like a lunatic trying to grap onto people's shirts and just go ballistic and run down the steps and up them at the same time and fcuk me after being frustrated for so long in the game that meant a lot. As for the people on the pitch, I think that what they did was OK, just running on a bit to celebrate near the players. Anything else, for example trying to get to the LO fans and/or running full length of the pitch etc would be too much...couldn't see all that much wrong with it, and was disappointed that two of them got arrested.
Southern Fox Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 As I was leaving the ground I saw them being loaded into the meat wagon in handcuffs
Tommeh Posted 20 September 2008 Author Posted 20 September 2008 Can't wait to see these on tv, assuming the camra was in the stand opposite. If I was at the front, I'd probably have done the same, how anyone can control themselves after a vital goal like that is scored is beyond me.
syston_fox Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 I really expected to lose with how the game was going so Fryatt's goal just filled me with a massive sense of relief. On the note of Fryatt's goal, I think it was quite possibly the worst goal I've ever seen us score.... was it Campbell or Dyer who missed the sitter? Comedy of errors in the box!

Imagine if we had scored at Stoke then mate. Me you Tevez and Ched.
syston_fox Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Imagine if we had scored at Stoke then mate. Me you Tevez and Ched. ...soon followed by every Leicester fan in the ground!
Sods Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Only one lad got caught and taken away. The rest either got away or stewards just pushed them back off which personally is a better thing to do. Its a Leicester tradition now to celebrate on the pitch at Orient Loved the celebrations.
Tevez Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Maybes ended up with his trousers round his ankles.
Uncle Albert Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Maybes ended up with his trousers round his ankles. Your Christmas came early then mate.
lildave3 Posted 20 September 2008 Posted 20 September 2008 Loved it. Not quite Fulham, but still fantastic.
Ashley Posted 21 September 2008 Posted 21 September 2008 I was down there in the front in the second half, it was amazing running to celebrate with the Leicester players. I didnt go on the pitch but i was hanging over banging the boards 4 people got on from what I saw and they was all sat near me, 1 got arrested another got on to the pitch hugged fryatt and kicked the match ball away and came back over, one got chased down the emergancy exits and actually got back into the ground the other jumped straight back over.
davieG Posted 21 September 2008 Posted 21 September 2008 As I said in another thread they may be stupid but at least it was because they were excited and not totally pissed off with LCFC like the previous incidents. Along as it doesn't become the norm as that will just backfire on the other fans putting stewards at other clubs on the alert and making them even more twattish than we get already.
Daggers Posted 21 September 2008 Posted 21 September 2008 When I was a kid I used to be on MOTD with my brother, everytime a goal was scored - we'd pause the video over and over again on Sunday looking for ourselves. Leaping on the pitch in celebration, to my addled memory, never heralded the decline of Western civilisation. I hope nothing comes of this - although I do wonder if it would still have happened if the excitable members of our support were allowed to stand at the back?
Fosse Boy Posted 21 September 2008 Posted 21 September 2008 Loved it when that lad belted the ball, just pure exuberance. I even got shirtless in excitement on the back row...
Simi Posted 21 September 2008 Posted 21 September 2008 Class. Nothing better than celebrating with the players, showed the relief after a hard day.
kyleolly Posted 21 September 2008 Posted 21 September 2008 From an orient fans forum "You can't really blame the Leicester fans for invading the pitch. After all, we had given them such a battering in the 2nd half it must have felt like an FA cup upset."
Bert Posted 21 September 2008 Posted 21 September 2008 Of course you can't blame them. After going in front with only a few minutes to go, the sheer jubilation of it all was brilliant. No-One got hurt either.
Maybes Posted 21 September 2008 Posted 21 September 2008 Maybes ended up with his trousers round his ankles. Pure comedy.
