Babylon Posted 1 November 2008 Posted 1 November 2008 Reminds me of someone at work yesterday complaining about the girl on drive thru - for not saying please and thank you. This kind of attitude is annoying me probably more than anything has before, ever. Is it just this country? What, the attitude of preferring to be spoken to with some manners?
Daggers Posted 1 November 2008 Posted 1 November 2008 What, the attitude of preferring to be spoken to with some manners? Damn right. Those arrogant tosspots who demand politeness and respect should be told to sod off!
Webbo Posted 1 November 2008 Posted 1 November 2008 That Russell Brand is such a nice chap. Russell Brand has resigned and Jonathan Ross has been suspended. Whipped up by the Daily Mail, the public is calling for their scalps. But the BBC has been trying to pin the blame on a junior member of staff, Nic Philps, in order to protect the massive egos of its presenters. But BBC staff are fighting back.A bit of background is needed here. Russell Brand's radio show is produced independently by John Noel Management, through Brand's own production company, and the hairy-faced faux-Victorian is a regular tantrum thrower. He recently sacked a number of people on his show on a whim and so Nic (who is only 25 and has been in the job for a year) had to step in from his usual gig at Sean Keaveney's 6Music show to fix things as best he could. So far, so monstrous-ego-placating.
Zingari Posted 1 November 2008 Posted 1 November 2008 That Russell Brand is such a nice chap. it's amazing how the daily mail is still taking most of the blame
Head Honcho Posted 1 November 2008 Posted 1 November 2008 it's amazing how the daily mail is still taking most of the blame Do you think if we can get 30000 of us to complain to the BBC about the amount of cookery programmes on the TV at the minute they'd send the self satisfying fvcks back to their poxy resaurants?

The Stig Posted 1 November 2008 Posted 1 November 2008 Is that fence comfy? I agree with that view. When have I ever backed out of an opinion? I made them quite clear in my big long post. It does happen to be I partly agree with. I did enjoy the shows and will miss them. however I think a form of punishment was needed.
Joinesy77 Posted 1 November 2008 Posted 1 November 2008 It was out of order yes, but it was meant to be a harmless joke. People (and especially the media) have blown it way out of proportion. 90% of people I know thought it was fairly funny. The press portray it as if everyone found it really offensive and everyone hates the pair and thinks they should be sacked, which couldn't be much further from the truth. I am gutted Friday Night with Jonathan Ross has been cancelled for 3 months. Can't think of another good programme on a Friday night now.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 1 November 2008 Posted 1 November 2008 Hello everyone [/Pleat] What I find most ludicrous is that I was tuning into BBC World and Sky News from a hotel room in Paris for the last few days wanting some coverage of the US elections and instead got the world and his wife commenting on this absolute garbage. And I refuse to air my opinion about it all - if everyone stopped sticking their oar in then we could all get on with our lives.
Nod.E Posted 1 November 2008 Author Posted 1 November 2008 What, the attitude of preferring to be spoken to with some manners? No, the fact that they actually complained about it is what I find sad.
Tevez Posted 1 November 2008 Posted 1 November 2008 Both Tossers and should be locked up in a shed in the middle of the Sahara desert.
Suffolk_fox Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Everyone has overlooked the innocent party in all this. David Bowie's Airplay royalties will take a big hit while Ross serves his suspension...

kyleolly Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 its funny this time last week we were talking about certain m.ps on holiday trying to get moneys from a foreign billionaire now all of a sudden that has been brushed under the carpet and a silly prank is now the talking point in the papers and in the commons interesting.
AyewJoking Posted 2 November 2008 Posted 2 November 2008 Ross gets a holiday (the beeb were never gonna sack him cos he'd end up on itv) and Brand has better things to do anyway.
Ultra Posted 4 November 2008 Posted 4 November 2008 it's amazing how the daily mail is still taking most of the blame As it deserves.. Mail pays Marco Materazzi libel damages Hypocritical b'stards. I bet no-one gets sacked over this though..
Zingari Posted 4 November 2008 Posted 4 November 2008 As it deserves..Mail pays Marco Materazzi libel damages Hypocritical b'stards. I bet no-one gets sacked over this though.. i'm sure the daily mail were not the only ones insinuating that Zidane had considered himself to have been racially abused
Webbo Posted 4 November 2008 Posted 4 November 2008 This no longer has anything to do with anyone's daughter or grand-daughter.It's about a tawdry little tabloid (a sister paper to the Mockery) with a grudge against the beeb seeking to launch a witch-hunt against two entertainers it doesn't like. Heads have rolled, and rightly so. As it deserves..Mail pays Marco Materazzi libel damages Hypocritical b'stards. I bet no-one gets sacked over this though.. I wish you'd make your mind up.
