Bellend Sebastian Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 No matter how righteously indignant you get, there's always someone slightly more unbalanced, I find. From the marvellous Speak You're Branes website: "Oh…I suppose they will be using that ‘human rights’ clause to avoid sacking Dross and Bland! ‘No subject is exempt from comedy’………will they be telling us that bullying and humiliating an elderly man cannot be criticised because that would be infringing the ‘human rights’ of two ‘comedians’?? Anyway…I have cancelled my direct debit for the TV licence. It will not be reinstated until these two are sacked. If the BBC would like to take me to court I shall invoke my ‘human right’ not to have to pay money to obscene abusive bullies." Linda, Birmingham "reading this i know why this lot are still in govt they are to many morons about backing these two idiots who act like they are immune to anything i bet if these backers were on the end of it it would be different the point is these people are paid by our money and to act like this is wrong they should be done and made an example off if not what message does it send to the vast army of morons out there this country is finished nothing left but idiots" dennis I think dennis is more of a danger to society than anyone on the radio
Corky Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 Not that I care either way, but once again the great british public have managed to stick there unwanted fooking noses in.Moral of the story. He should have answered his phone. It is their right though. They are paying Brand's and Ross's wages through the licence fee, so they have a right to complain if they don't feel what they are doing is correct and proper. It's the same with any public organisation.
Daggers Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 "I shall invoke my ‘human right’ not to have to pay money to obscene abusive bullies."Linda, Birmingham Brilliant! I reckon I'll try that argument with my poll tax, my leccy and gas bill and my monthly subscription to Gun & Ammo.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 Brilliant!I reckon I'll try that argument with my poll tax, my leccy and gas bill and my monthly subscription to Gun & Ammo. I love it when people make rights up, and when they also shout loudly that 'I know what my rights are' because as soon as they do that you just know that they've got even less idea of what they are than everyone else

Bellend Sebastian Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 A mate's Facebook post just made me laugh - he's still waiting for an apology from the BBC for Andrew Sachs' racist stereotype spanish waiter
Corky Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 A mate's Facebook post just made me laugh - he's still waiting for an apology from the BBC for Andrew Sachs' racist stereotype spanish waiter "But I know nothing!"
Daggers Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 A mate's Facebook post just made me laugh - he's still waiting for an apology from the BBC for Andrew Sachs' racist stereotype spanish waiter In 1979, on Tomorrow's World, Raymond Baxter told the nation that by the 1990's everyone would only be working a day a week as robots would be doing the rest and we'd all have to learn to live on high salaries and huge leisure time. I am still waiting for a ****ing apology for that one...or the address of his grave so I can piss on it.
The People's Hero Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 Anyway…I have cancelled my direct debit for the TV licence. It will not be reinstated until these two are sacked. If the BBC would like to take me to court I shall invoke my ‘human right’ not to have to pay money to obscene abusive bullies."Linda, Birmingham I know that our prisons are overcrowded and yadda yadda, but I like to think there is a place for Linda from Birmingham in one of them. Perhaps she could use that time in prison to learn what her rights really are.
Zingari Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 if it goes to court i hope they throw the booky wook at him
Stevosevic Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 I hopw Ross is sacked or he quits, can't stand the bloke.
Uncle Albert Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 If this is all people have to moan about then the world is doing alright. 27,000 complaints, **** me. They are both twats for what they did but for people to still to be moaning about them in the media and complaining is so stupid. Front pages of the newspapers. <_<
The People's Hero Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 Weeeeeee don't need.... this dead, dead media.
Milky Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 In Brand's filmed "apology", you can see a picture of Stalin just behind him. Another humorous jape.
Libertine Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 This is ridiculous. They went too far, simple as, but the reaction of some people has been crazy. Regardless of whether you like them or not, they hardly deserve sacking. And the BBC is a joke. They seem to add an extra 5,000 complaints on every report. Complete bollocks.
Phube Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 A mate's Facebook post just made me laugh - he's still waiting for an apology from the BBC for Andrew Sachs' racist stereotype spanish waiter Just what I was thinking... what if the resisdent all complained to the BBC about his representation!!
The People's Hero Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 In Brand's filmed "apology", you can see a picture of Stalin just behind him. Another humorous jape. That is funny.
purpleronnie Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 I might eat my words but they will NEVER sack woss, he's too popular, I'm sure if some lesser celeb had done this they would have been sacked already.
Milky Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 I might eat my words but they will NEVER sack woss, he's too popular, I'm sure if some lesser celeb had done this they would have been sacked already. It's amazing he earns 16K a day. Almost as much as you!!

purpleronnie Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 I love how the daughter is now doing a kiss and tell......what a shocker. But she's devastated about it all of course. Devastated all the way to the bank.
Daggers Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 Why is Russell Brand funny? "All comedians have an ego, it's what makes them get on stage," says Dr Double. "But Russell Brand's routines have become all about being Russell Brand and little else. He has become his only frame of reference and that's just not interesting."
Koke Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 Bunch of band-wagon jumping morons. The British public are ****ing clowns. I'm appalled the fact that still is going on. Brand apologized. Ross apologized. And Sachs accepted both their apologies. It ends right there. So I suggest the rest of these dimwits to move on with their sad ****ing lives.
Daggers Posted 30 October 2008 Posted 30 October 2008 Ross - 3 months unpaid holiday Woman in charge of Radio2 resigned I find this all funnier than the collected works of Ross and Brand...I hope it doesn't end soon no matter how agitated it seems to make some people.

The thing is the media is acting all high and mighty, but they have made it so much worse not just for brand and ross but for sachs I'm sure he's embarrased enough without having is splashed over the front pages. And I read another radio 2 person has resigned. Well done to the newspapers.
