I was mugged last night.

It was horrible. Just arrived at a bar at one of Londons "Trendy" bars.

Took my coat of, scanned the joint, nothing out of the ordinary really, it was a bit quiet, but then it was about midnight, and I suppose most people were heading to the clubs.

Ordered a Gin & Tonic and a Whiskey with ice. Walked into the back bar (quite dark) to find a nice little table whilst the barman bought over the drinks.

And then:-

BAMMMMM!!!

He slams a £16.20 bill in front of my eyes. For TWO drinks!!!!!!!

£16.20 !!!! Thieving bast*rds!!!

Never have I felt so humiliated, violated and scared in my whole life.

If anybody else has had a similar experience, I feel for you.

yeah, well i live on that planet - i bought a round in one of the cheapest pubs in the city (2 beers, 2 double vodkas and coke) and it was almost 45 quid.

OSLO!!!! The biggest rip off in london for me recently was at koko, something like 3 quid for a can of fosters, didn't even get a plastic cup!
