The Blur Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 I am actually a bit confused, your wanting to take your Girlfriend on a romantic break, yet you have 'Massive gay shite' in your sig, and your avatar looks a bit camp. Is girlfriend the new term for the femine side of a gay relationship and you are the butch side. Or are you not gay, have a lovely girlfriend that you would like to wine and dine around Valentine, but just look camp? Blackpool if you are tight as Ian Beale which desribe me perfectly!
Monk Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 Iceland is pretty cheap at that time of year, try iceland express. Of course you don't need to go abroad, you could book into a Macdonald Hotel somewhere in the UK. Why not go to Scotland and go somewhere where there's a spa or something? One other idea is Morocco, I noticed that Ryanair have started a new destination there on the coast and tend to be including it in their offers for <£50 return. Oh, actually, one other idea which could be good..... Train to Glasgow and a return flight to Mull or Loch Lomond with Loch Lomond Sea Planes, they really are fantastic and it would be an unusual trip to take her on.
Thracian Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 Grindelwald ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grindelwald#Gallery or Sorrento/Capri... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capri would be my choice but if it has to be a City break...then Amsterdam.
Finnegan Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 Daggers is taking me to Cali for my 22nd. It's a South American coming of age. I'll be coming, he'll be ageing.
Guest Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 You can't go wrong with Edinburgh. Look for cheap deals on the train, and you can always find a good deal on hotels and all that jive.
Corky Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 Cambridge or Peterborough is fine for Romantic City Breaks.

Yeh I'm contemplating Marrakech in two weeks time £120 return from Bristol. It's a toss up between Morocco and Leyton Orient
AoWW Posted 23 December 2008 Posted 23 December 2008 Cambridge or Peterborough is fine for Romantic City Breaks. ^^^^^ ..... ^^^^^ Personally, I'd be very impressed and a happy bunny if someone said they were taking me to Marrakech or Istanbul. Unusual and exotic. Some of the other suggestions put forward would be way too chilly for me in February, but then I am a bit of a wimp! Butlins? Center Parcs?
James. Posted 23 December 2008 Posted 23 December 2008 Personally, I'd be very impressed and a happy bunny if someone said they were taking me to Marrakech or Istanbul. Unusual and exotic. See. I KNOW what women want. LeeCovFox - tell me you booked Istanbul? She'll be all over you.

andyh1884 Posted 23 December 2008 Posted 23 December 2008 Krakow or Riga are pretty decent places for this type of thing. There's fairly regular flights to both & neither are particularly expensive. Really nice cities, plenty to see & do.

MC Prussian Posted 23 December 2008 Posted 23 December 2008 The whole Baltic area is a wonderful stretch of land. Poland, Lithuania and Latvia - not so sure about Estonia.
Santa_Claus Posted 23 December 2008 Posted 23 December 2008 While you are with me, you get what you are given. If it's Peterborough, we go there. Trust me, the lovely AoWW is NOT going to be happy with a honeymoon in Peterborough. Santas just know these things. Don't say you weren't warned.

AoWW Posted 23 December 2008 Posted 23 December 2008 We aren't going to Peterborough. How does Ely sound AoWW? You're soooo busy doing important manly things, dear. Whereas I only have cooking, cleaning and tending to your every whim to deal with. It seems only fair that I should take over the honeymoon arrangements. You sit yourself down.............. let me find you the remote and get you a drink... leave it all to me.
