Leicester City will surpass the 100 point mark this season.

I couldn't care less, it's promotion not points that matter as long as we get more than 22 other teams that's all that matters.

Nice thought, don't think it will happen though.

Will settle for @ 86 points, think that should be enough for automatic promotion. :fc:

On current form you wil need to cross more than fingers if you think 86 points will be enough. It may be but 93/4 will be more like it if things continue as they are.

I think we could break 100 pts this season and said so before the the season started .Of course I would be satisfied with

being promoted on 86 pts but why not set our targets higher . Does anyone know what the record is for league 1.

Wouldn't it be great if the only year we spent outside the top 2 divisions we broke the record points tally.

the record from what i found when it was the old division 2 was 101 points by fulham in the 98/99 season and the 2nd highest was 99 points by chelsea in the 88/89 season, maybe we could break in with it been the 08/09 season but i think promotion is the only goal and anything after that is a bonus

Looking back over the last 20 years we will need to achive something in the region of 90 points to achieve an automatic promotion place. That means we need another 39 points from our remaining 23 games.

10 wins. 9 Draws, 4 Defeats would do it

We have played most of the teams in the division now and I don't really think there is anything to be frightened of and the target should be well within our reach now that we have laid the foundations.

I would love us to surpass the 100 point mark, but realistically I think it will be more 90 points which im sure will be enough! lets take one game at a time on this downward slope of the season though! :scarf:

In the past eight seasons the highest number of points a team in 3rd has got is 83 (in three of the eight seasons).

If we are promoted (fingers crossed) before the end of the season you know we'll take our foot off the gas, play some reserve players/youngsters and drop points. People's mentality changes when you've already achieved your target so I don't think we'll get 100 points.

Didn't our forward line look exciting yesterday in the second half? An injury to Fryatt cripples us. Plus, we are relying on loanees in defence, in goal and in midfield.

Before making predictions of a potential points haul it may be best to wait and see what happens in the transfer window - I have a feeling this will be a season of two halves where we will count ourselves lucky for the excellent first half.

Innit Bruv.

Word.

Don't take the piss mate. If you don't wanna come Wembley, don't come, we aint gunna miss you. Personally, I've already booked my hotel room and I'm now hoping for a string of draws.
