Matt Posted 31 December 2008 Posted 31 December 2008 Leicester City have today confirmed that Ricky Sappleton has joined Oxford United for a one-month loan period.
DB11 Posted 31 December 2008 Posted 31 December 2008 Hope he does well and comes back good ala Gradel
Thracian Posted 31 December 2008 Posted 31 December 2008 It would surprise me if he stayed there. Assuming he impresses.
stez Posted 31 December 2008 Posted 31 December 2008 i hope he finds oxford more interesting than leicester, a gag for all his facebook friends there.
JoeyB Posted 31 December 2008 Posted 31 December 2008 Overhipped & overrated. I don't even think he is that good.
Samilktray Posted 31 December 2008 Posted 31 December 2008 I hope he stays here. Sheer quality the lad.
Collymore Posted 31 December 2008 Posted 31 December 2008 It would surprise me if he stayed there. Assuming he impresses. Was he good at some point, all ways remember his name being on the score sheet last year in the reserves. Is it one of these where he's just peaked and never make it?
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 Was he good at some point, all ways remember his name being on the score sheet last year in the reserves. Is it one of these where he's just peaked and never make it? TBH, when I watched him, I didn't think he contributed much, but always knew where the goal was... it was as if he wanted to score when he could be bothered really
The People's Hero Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 i hope he finds oxford more interesting than leicester, a gag for all his facebook friends there.
Zingari Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 Is it more likely that NP wants him to hone up a few skills, and get some real competative match practice , or maybe a last chance saloon to prove he actually has something ?
barmy76uk Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 yes,he will be nearer london now and not boring Leicester, Doesn't he have a brother that plays for Oxford too?
Vardinhio Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 My mate who's from Oxford is at their game today. He's came on, got an assist and scored the 2nd. His exact words: "what a legend"

act smiley Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 yes,he will be nearer london now and not boring Leicester,Doesn't he have a brother that plays for Oxford too? It was Eric Odhiambo's cousin or step-brother or something like that did a couple of years back, no?
Vardinhio Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 you're thinking of Eddie Anaclet (sp?). Was Odhiambo's cousin but has left now
Father Ted Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 To be fair to him, he definitely has got something there but people are expecting way too much. What people forget is that he is STILL ONLY 18.
MC Prussian Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 To be fair to him, he definitely has got something there but people are expecting way too much. What people forget is that he is STILL ONLY 18. And there's people that make him 28. The move should do him some good. Give him another year or two and then assess the situation. I think it's too early to have him go for a permanent transfer already.
