Went to see Mumford and Soms last night.

 

Only really know their bigger hit but it was a really good night with a nice feel good feeling. Booked to see them in Hyde Park next year. 

 

Couple sitting next to us were a little weird. Not sure what stage their relationship was at but he was batting way up the order. She turned up flirty/giggly drunk and preceded to insist on giving my mate her white wine as she doesn’t drink it (no idea how he didn’t know this) and comment he would go and get her an gin in a minute (he didn’t) 
 

I’m guessing from his point of view she just gave away the best part of £10 but he preceded to have the arse for the rest of the night with her and us. Didn’t really say anything just gave off vibes and appeared to be a bit of a dick. Flirty/giggling and angry drunk isn’t a great combination. Anyway ended with a mini domestic at the end when he made one little comment too many and she left with a couple of songs to go. 
 

Fantastic gig but the problem with seating is if you are sat next to some dickhead you can’t really move.

Ticket prices are crazy for everything now, £42.50 a ticket to seem them at Kentish Town Forum is expensive but my mate and I like them so we've coughed up.

How much did you pay for Halifax? Tickets were 140 when we looked. ****ing mental surge pricing, Ticketmaster bastards. 

 

We ended up doing Cardiff instead for half the price. Still nuts, even for an anniversary show. 

 

Were great at Download this year though, Rise Against not so much. Jim Adkins voice still phenomenal, Tim McIlrath sounded dreadful. Not sure if just a one off or if age has really caught up to him. Third or fourth time I've seen them and always fine before but this was the first time in maybe a decade.

It was £160 for the tickets, give or take pennies. 

 

I've never seen either play a bad show, so I just wanted to get to this. It was also the only show within 4 hours of me realistically.

Looking at seeing a jazz-type show at the Koko when visiting London in the spring. Most of the comments here about the venue are over a decade old, wondering if it’s changed much in that time, or if anyone has been there more recently? Seems like we should be queuing early if we want a good vantage point.

Don't they know there's a cost of living crisis? Ticket prices are beyond extortionate. Probably why I only got to two shows in 2025, one of which was a tribute band that still cost £40. They have to be a band that I really, really want to see before I shell out nowadays. Not playing the game anymore.

Got a Sleaford Mods ticket for Xmas for Rock City next month.  
they are probably passed their best but I'm sure it'll be a good night. 
my mate got a ticket as a present also.
