Guns and Roses is a shocker though IMO. And I love Limp Bizkit, but they’ve gone from mid to headliners in the blink of an eye, I guess it happens though.

I'm there for Linkin Park and absolutely nothing wrong with  Limp Bizkit.

I saw GnR at Villa Park (mate wanted to go more than me) I know a lot was being made of Axl's voice being dreadful but I didn't think he was that bad. Having said that they have never really been my thing and I was hoping they wouldn't be in the line up.

Just randomly listening to a lot of the undercard and that seems incredibly strong.

Oh yeah the bands in that second batch would have been perfect for me. Electric Callboy and Architects are two of my favourite bands, All American Rejects have some great songs, as do Bad Omens, Trvium, Cyprus’s Hill, Pendulum etc etc.

Axl’s voice is completely shot though, beyond embarrassing 😂 he has a history of being a bit of a **** at Download as well. I’ve been before where they turned up over an hour late and got bottled.

I won’t be watching GNR.

My 13th time seeing Linkin Park. Never seen them play a bad show.

I went to see Turnstile last night and I’m far too old for this nonsense. I’m in tatters

How was the gig? Seeing them in Hamburg on Sunday. Can’t wait but not expecting to be in great shape afterwards.

They were superb and the crowd was very lively. Crap venue however. You’ll have a great time

Wolf Alice in Copenhagen last night was very good, top venue and all. Ellie Rowsell has become a proper superstar. Next up, Turnstile in Hamburg on Sunday.

Have you been to the Crossing before? A great little venue.

I know Brum doesn't have a great rep in this thread but we're starting to get a decent set of small to medium venues. Hope you enjoy!

now only a couple of weeks away.  Which bars/pubs do you recommend around Digbeth?

Oh nice one.

For boozers, The Anchor (just been renovated but on a good way, White Swan and the Old Crown.

More modern bars, Kilder (great for craft beers and food), the Rainbow, or a few options in the Custard Factory.

Nortons is a great Irish pub and may well have music on out the back of you fancy that too.

I'm at Metallica in Cardiff on the Sunday so the Saturday date is out. I've been trying to avoid midweek dates due to amount of holiday entitlement I used this gear going to numerous concerts but it looks like Thursday or nothing.

The only European city to have more one night, looks like this isn't going to be that extensive a tour. :dunno:

Seems like it. Hopefully they'll do more the year after. Perhaps it was a late booked thing after Dave's wife allowed him back on the road.

Got 2 for the Saturday in the upper main stand. Will see if they add any other dates that may be preferable, easy enough to resell them if so.

Same for Thursday. Would like to have been in the lower tier of the Main stand/Kenny Dalglish but the cost, availability and the amount that seemed to be reserved for hotel packages made that a non starter.

I went for upper purely as I'd heard the leg room is better in the newer parts, but the middle tier wasn't available.
