I went for upper purely as I'd heard the leg room is better in the newer parts, but the middle tier wasn't available.

Just had a look at the Munich and Berlin presales out of interest apart from the top priced tickets being less that €180 compared to £300 plus at Anfield the presale take up doesn't seem to be that great.

Turnstile are great live, I’m off to 2 of the MCR gigs as they are my favourite band and Brand New are another but really struggling to buy a ticket for that due to the allegations against the singer.

SOAD will be class as well, Was tempted with them.

I went to Brand New last night and it was extremely disappointing.

Oh really? How come?

It just seemed like they didn’t want to be there. No interaction etc and also didn’t play a few classics. Crowd was very tame too.

Not good. I guess they have quite a big catalog of songs now so I can see why some of the old ones drop off.

Went to see levellers last night in derby.

Never been to vaillant live so a new venue for me.  Reminds me of a larger De Mont.

Good gig, crowd got into it more as the night progressed. Actually saw people on peoples shoulders, which is a big no-no (these days).

The Offspring at the AO arena in Manchester on Sunday.

They were great, the crowd were up for it on the floor, just the sound let them down a little.

Probably the only thing I prefer at the Co-op Live is the quality of sound over the AO.

Oh nice one.

For boozers, The Anchor (just been renovated but on a good way, White Swan and the Old Crown.

More modern bars, Kilder (great for craft beers and food), the Rainbow, or a few options in the Custard Factory.

Nortons is a great Irish pub and may well have music on out the back of you fancy that too.

only had time to go in The Anchor.

great tip. Thank you. You'd never know it's been renovated. (A good thing )

the crossing was a great venue.  Brought back some memories walking past the Sanctuary.

Ah great stuff. A mate of mine went the same gig and enjoyed it. Glad the Anchor went down well and hope the Crossing pulls in a few of the smaller gigs.

Trying to cut down on the amount of gigs as the tickets, day out, train, accommodation absolutely mounts up.

Might have forgotten some but I've done this year.

Primal Scream - Rock City

Jaws  - Birmingham

Blossoms - Derby

James/Happy Mondays/Lighnting Seeds - Colchester

Empire of the Sun - Greenwich Maritime Museum

Madness in December - Nottingham Arena.

Cutting down isn't going well as I already have these lined up.

Basement Jaxx - Manchester

DMAs - Nottingham

The Streets - Norwich

Probably the Snuts for a rare Leicester gig as well.

Got an Underworld ticket for Brixton in March for my birthday so it’s already looking busy next year!
