Went to The Hives album release show at Rock City, already had tickets with non city supporting friends before sky moved it.

They were superb, as usual, whipped the crowd up into a frenzy and then called it a day after 40 minutes. £28 including a signed CD, so wasn’t expecting that much but Rock City were showing a 8pm start with a 10pm curfew so I thought they might do 60-75 minutes. A bit of effort getting home from work and charging into Nottingham for what it was.

Left feeling a little like your missus had taken you right to edge and then announced she wasn’t really in the mood, rolled over and gone to sleep and you couldn’t nip to the bathroom to sort yourself out.

Have the Monday they are at Rock City off for my Birthday but am already out on the Saturday and Sunday, might be one of those where I will try to get a ticket too and see how I feel.

Coldplay tomorrow night.

I find their music a little bland for my taste but I’ve always wanted to go for the show. Had cheap a cheap ticket and hotel for their Budapest show a couple of years ago but the flights that weekend were ridiculously expensive so I cancelled.

Picked up a ticket on Viagogo for what I’ve paid Ticketmaster to see a few artists in the last couple years so going for it. 80% above face value but what I was willing pay.

Not exactly a fan of viagogo, particularly the ‘traders’ on their who farm tickets for events just to resell but as I was nowhere near getting one in the presale or general sale and nothing has appeared for genuine resale so it was the only half decent option left.

Official Ticketmaster  transfer yesterday so all should be good.

@Sol thewall Bamba If I find myself back at Watford Junction shirtless I will have questions as to how the evening went :D

Stood last night, really enjoyed great show, great gig, probably better than the Ricoh, 10 or 12 years ago, took my son and he loved it, stood on the NEW hallowed turf, Cricket team weren't far away Rooooooooootttt, Brook, Carse, Bethell etc.

Noel & Liam got a mention and will be off to see them there at the end of the month.

Tell you what ticket prices have gone up somewhat & we paid face value standing, saw Queen in 86 & Jacko 3 times between 88 & 97 and the last two gigs were £25 & £26.75, met some Swiss lad at Wembley Park and he had paid £330 for his ticket including an £80 add on.  That Inflation is a killer.

I can’t do the Friday or Saturday nights so it’s got to be Monday or Tuesday, not the best nights or the best venue. Throw in the fact I’ve not got that much annual leave left it’s not great timing.

Not actually getting a code would take away all the issues. :S

I know what you mean......i've been working it out and a ticket for just me(Mrs and kids are not into "slit your wrists" music as they call Radiohead will be about £100,then travel would be £120 on the train,a bed for the night another £100 on London prices and that doesn't take into account feeding myself and drinking! So i'm looking at about £500 give or take for one day out! My head says don't do it,but iv'e not seen them live before.....You are right, not getting a code would be best all round for me!

Seemed pretty hard to get a RH unlock code, don’t know anyone who got one. Resale it is.

I reckon they will do some more gigs next year.....Think this is just to test the water.

Just saw the sunshine underground are doing a gig in Leeds next summer, gutted i missed out on their farewell tour years back so just bought a couple tickets. Hard-Fi, white lies, the futureheads, the twang playing as well, my dream line up as a 16 year old, buzzing.
