Daggers Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 Fab! I have just spent today organising when I'm running training sessions - and guess which night that week I'd arranged so I was free on Tuesday. Wankers.

SussexFox Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 I dont get this usually when Tranmere play at home on a Saturday surely either Liverpool or Everton are at home as well? Find it hard to believe that the police cant cope on this occasion

Find it hard to believe that the police cant cope on this occasion It's because were a big team going to tranmere, have excellent following. Real V Liverpool will be a big match too.
CosbehFox Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 I dont get this usually when Tranmere play at home on a Saturday surely either Liverpool or Everton are at home as well? Find it hard to believe that the police cant cope on this occasion They play on Friday's if either Liverpool clubs have a big trouble team in town on the Saturday. Always. Everton v Man United was on a Saturday this year, so Tranmere moved to the Monday.
Alexikokopops Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 You have to remember we are a massive club, bigger than both Madrid and Liverpool. To be honest I think they should be rearranging the Champions League match, not our one.

StanSP Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 You have to remember we are a massive club, bigger than both Madrid and Liverpool. To be honest I think they should be rearranging the Champions League match, not our one. Oh definitely. Real who?
Alexikokopops Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 Oh definitely. Real who? Exactly. We don't need that prefix to prove we're the real deal.
StanSP Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 Prompts me to ask the question, if you could change the name Leicester City to whatever you like, what would it be?? I may have just opened a whole can of beans here...
Alexikokopops Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 Prompts me to ask the question, if you could change the name Leicester City to whatever you like, what would it be??I may have just opened a whole can of beans here... Probably just "MASSIVE". Does the job.
Scow Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 I'd leave my car in Liverpool - it would help me no end. You can see why it has been changed, but like Davie says, I'm sure the police could have coped with this fixture.

No point in Leaving your car in Liverpool, you would be in for a long walk to the ground as it's wrong side of the river!
Scow Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 No point in Leaving your car in Liverpool, you would be in for a long walk to the ground as it's wrong side of the river! Let's just say I'm not bothered about the exact location.

SystonFox Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 they should just feck Real Madrid off, tell Pearson and the boys to travel up to merseyside on the tuesday, turn the 'Pool over, stay in a travelodge or something and then give Tranmere a licking too the next day. or would Steve Howard just moan he's too tired?

Howard wouldn't be bothered. And Matt Oakley would ask to be rested cos of fatigue travelling between Nottingham and Leicester.
Ultra Posted 6 January 2009 Posted 6 January 2009 Given the well-documented number of high-profile burglaries in Merseyside on Champions League nights, it's no great shock to see our game's been moved.
Babylon Posted 6 January 2009 Posted 6 January 2009 Given the well-documented number of high-profile burglaries in Merseyside on Champions League nights, it's no great shock to see our game's been moved. Why, do they suspect our players or something? ...Levi would make a great cat burglar, not such a good look out though.
Manwell Pablo Posted 6 January 2009 Posted 6 January 2009 I dont get this usually when Tranmere play at home on a Saturday surely either Liverpool or Everton are at home as well? Find it hard to believe that the police cant cope on this occasion It's because it's Real Madrid and they will pile every pig in Liverpool into a square mile radius so there's no kick off due to the scousers fantastic reputation of not stabbing, killing and maiming fans of forieng teams. They will use literally everything they have to make sure that nothing cracks off. Besides it's common sense to move it there is no point in playing both of the games on Tuesday I'm quite sure the world wont implode just because Leicester City are playing on a Wednesday.

Fair enough Spanish fans are hardly known for their violence though - although I see why the authorities would not want to risk anything tarnishing the English game
Shrenchel Posted 6 January 2009 Posted 6 January 2009 Fair enough Spanish fans are hardly known for their violence though - although I see why the authorities would not want to risk anything tarnishing the English game Not true but Spanish hooligans don't travel well. If Liverpool fans are gunna get a kicking, they'll get it in Madrid.
Tevez Posted 6 January 2009 Posted 6 January 2009 They will be all theiving a Liverpool players house anyway.
