i still think if he tried singing a song in support of palestine with out the word 'bomb' he would have been met by the same reaction.

Maybe because it's a football game and not a bloody political rally!!!

maybe teh atmosphere in the ground last night would have been a bit better if everyone in the ground had a few drinks!

might losen a few people up....

 Yeah the atmosphere would be great is we all sang pro palestine songs, annoyed people and got thrown out.

Please tell your friend he is a c***.

yeah i agree

what he was singing was wrong.... or what i've heard he sung

i still think if he tried singing a song in support of palestine with out the word 'bomb' he would have been met by the same reaction

i think his intention were right.... SORT OF (so dont go biting my head of for saying that)

and about laying of the beer

maybe teh atmosphere in the ground last night would have been a bit better if everyone in the ground had a few drinks!

It probably would've got a similar reaction because singing chants at a football match is a stupid way of trying to gain support for Palestine, especially in the aggressive tone this chap was adopting. People aren't interested, they want to watch the football, not discuss the politics of the Middle East. Next time point him in this direction.

Haha, great minds...

yeah cause thats what i said.... ???

football has become far to serious nowadays

and i know that singing pro palastinian songs is a pretty serious issue

but having a few hundred people singing in support for the palestinians dying in gaza would have been something

its not asif the game was worth singing about....

Maybe it would have, but given the fact your friend had already tried to sing songs about being Mancunian with little success the chances of him starting a rousing, moving sing-song about the plight of the Palestinians after being an aggressive jizzcock to anyone in the vicinity who dared rase a different opinion was slim to none.

and as i said before

he didn't do it in the most sober fashion...

but people on here are either calling him a **** for trying to sing for palestinians dying or for being completly fooked at a football match

i dont really have a problem with either... i have seen my far share of smashed people at football

let him get pissed and be a ****.... OH WELL

i'm done now..... i will be ripping him next time i see him dont worry oh and i'll call him a **** for everyone too

chiefvole... No hard feelings towards you mate.

Just feel I should explain - the Palestine chants I found pretty offensive but it wasn't the worst of it - he was aggressive towards a number of people around him, often with very little or no provocation.

Anyway - that's the last I'll say on it. Like I said, no hard feelings towards you. I think your mate had just had a few too many and is a 'bad drunk' rather than a 'good' one.

Cheers.

TPH.

No, I'm calling him a cunt because he was incredibly aggressive to me because I mentioned that no one in the crowd was Mancunian, and the fact that his singing wasn't about "Palestinians dying" but bombing Jews. It's a fucking stupid way to "stick up for Palestine" and is more likely to do more harm than good in people's views. It's not just because he was drunk. Plenty of my friends were steaming but managed not to get chucked out. I'm also pro-Palestine, and would've been at the demonstration I linked in my previous post if I didn't have a friend's birthday and football to be at.

People are calling him a cunt because he was acting like a cunt. That's my last word on the matter

Edit: Just to point out, like TPH, I have no hard feelings towards you, and echo his "I think your mate had just had a few too many and is a 'bad drunk' rather than a 'good' one".

Great banter with those Crewe fans on the train back to Victoria. Hope they enjoyed their time on The Wright Stuff! :giggle:

Oh bollocks, have i missed it?

WE ARE CREWE, WE ARE CREWE, WE ARE CREWE :crylaugh:

When the kid has been given his chance in the team even as sub he has made an impression... shame about the injuries as he would definitely be a key player for us. I think the fact Pearson how got rid of DJ shows what he thinks of the lad.

Absolutely, I have high hopes for Chambers. He has explosive pace and can stay on side, I also like the fact he can cross a ball. Versatile.

I was also on the back row with James and Suffolk Fox, and was actually next to this guy. He was extremely abusive even without the offensive songs, but singing about that at a football match was unacceptable. It had absolutely nothing to do with the game, and whilst it is a bad situation there was no need to bring it up at all. Very glad to see the little **** ejected. Tempted to make a complaint to the club about him but I don't know his name. I just wish Jobber had smacked him one!

I don't think Uncle Albert will be to keen on going to the embankment.

No I will not Rob. 11:15pm at night and Tom thinks a few photo's will be a good idea at Westminster and his car park runs out in Stanmore at 11:59pm. Tit.

People seem quite happy we are out of the F.A Cup? Jokers. The F.A Cup is a wonderful competition to be in and every round we get through is a decent achievement. Saying that if we did get through last night i'm sure most people moaning about the F.A Cup would off been at the ticket office this morning getting tickets for Watford. <_<

What a day though! Apart from the result. Banter was flying round London yesterday. Alex, your 12 days was epic. That woman was not happy when you got to 12 I think. lol

As soon as Tunch went down you knew it was a horror. I honestly dont think there was a difference in class last night, I just think we missed that killer edge. Possesion wise we had the most off it. Oakley was useless on the right and Berner and King didnt know if they were coming or going. I dont think Martin had to make a save and with one of their goals coming off King and the other was well placed in the corner from the looks off it, dont know what King was doing in the middle off the park though losing it for Moses. Martin had a decent game, commanded very well and took a blow for his cause. Hobbs was my MOTM anyways was strong and seemed comfortable on the ball. Edworthy had a mare. Chambers was a highpoint when he came on, his runs in behind the defence were very good and he set up Maxi so good effort from the lad. Oakley's miss was horrendous and Dickov may aswell piss off now, he done one thing of note which was a good touch over the defender but still missed from 6 yards.

Quite disappointed we are out the Cup!

You seen this guy before acting like a ****? If not, it's not really necessary to try and grass him to the club is it. At least give the geezer a chance to wake up with a rotten hangover, realise he behaved like a disabled and not do it again.

What he said was on par with racism, although you cannot class it as that exactly. I don't see why it would be a step too far.

I heard the "12 Days" at Victoria, sounded epic  . My Palace mate wondered wtf was going on, asked if the guy singing it [Alexikokopos] was a headcase or summat :giggle: ?

Nice to meet those of you who I met for the first time.

Had to move in the ground after hearing various embarrassing United chants and then some pathetic Palestine ones.

ps Kerrea Gilbert's girlfriend! Yes please!

What were these chants then? I haven't heard anything about these.

EDIT: Read the rest of the thread now. I'm sure he's a nice enough guy sober, but that sort of behaviour makes him a ****. Sorry. I agree with what somebody else has said on the thread, let him wake up with a stinking hangover, realise he's acted like a cock and move on.

In terms of the game, it sounded a shocking encounter to be honest. As encouraging as it was to see Gradel net a goal, the worry about Tunchev was the over-riding feeling after the game. I doubt we'll see him again this season from the sounds of things and hope that Kisnorbo and/or Morrison can deputise effectively. However, we are scoring goals now so there shouldn't be any real worries about us hitting an awful run of form, surely the only thing that can prevent us winning promotion, given the gap between ourselves and the play-offs.

Bad Points

-Questions over the depth of the squad

Questions some people (me) were getting slammed for just one week or so ago.

Two injuries in and we'll be a totally different (and much more ineffectual) side - and Tunch is the first.

We simply do not have quality in depth.

Hello sir. I only realised it was you when I asked Monk after the game! Sorry I didn't introduce myself properly. I was the tall guy next to you in the second half, including our little exchange of words with said ****.

It was great talking with you!

As others have said, Chief Vole I bear no grudge towards you. My wife is a muslim, and as such I feel I am in a better position to view the argument from both sides. Having a Muslim or Jewish parent would kind of bias your views. I don't have the time nor the inclination to air my views on the Middle East subject, I have sympathy with innocents on both sides but shouting 'Gas The Jews' at a football match is not the time nor the place.

Your "friend" (and I wouldn't boast about that if I was you) was frankly an embarassment all evening, from nearly getting us all kicked out of the 'Spoons' in Leicester Square by constant singing (despite being warned TWICE by the pub manager), singing songs intending to inflame racial hatred at the match (There are laws against this!) and shouting at ME (a match-goer since 1980, when he wasn't even a tingle in his Dad's ball-sac) insinuating that because I wasn't joining in with his Mancunian song I wasn't a proper fan. I don't mind admitting it was me that got him slung out, and I hope he is banned for it. Teach the little sod a lesson.

I've never understood this 'we have big squad' outside the first 15 or so it is incredibly weak, untested and/or injury prone.

Yeah, I think midfield is the only area with decent back ups.

Yeah, I think midfield is the only area with decent back ups.

I'd argue (and have) that it isn't.

Without Davies we look a more defensive midfield set-up which has lacked creativity this season.

We need a forward, a couple of midfield players, another "decent" centre-back and a keeper.
