James. Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 It was great talking with you!As others have said, Chief Vole I bear no grudge towards you. My wife is a muslim, and as such I feel I am in a better position to view the argument from both sides. Having a Muslim or Jewish parent would kind of bias your views. I don't have the time nor the inclination to air my views on the Middle East subject, I have sympathy with innocents on both sides but shouting 'Gas The Jews' at a football match is not the time nor the place. Your "friend" (and I wouldn't boast about that if I was you) was frankly an embarassment all evening, from nearly getting us all kicked out of the 'Spoons' in Leicester Square by constant singing (despite being warned TWICE by the pub manager), singing songs intending to inflame racial hatred at the match (There are laws against this!) and shouting at ME (a match-goer since 1980, when he wasn't even a tingle in his Dad's ball-sac) insinuating that because I wasn't joining in with his Mancunian song I wasn't a proper fan. I don't mind admitting it was me that got him slung out, and I hope he is banned for it. Teach the little sod a lesson. Absolutely spot on. You may have seen me mention in the ratings thread but I didn't even realise you were you until after the game and I asked Monk. Didn't actually introduce myself! But yeah it was great fun watching the game with you, hopefully see you at another away soon.
C-man Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 I had to move away from that guy in the red top before he went on singing about palestine. Glad I missed that. I had had enough by the time he had completely exhausted that (shit) 'and that's the way we like it, we like it, we like it' chant, and had gone through several renditions of the FC United song about Glazer and Sky. Just why? What was the purpose? Sorry to leave Monk and Suffolk_Fox next to him. Me, Fez and Alex just had to move. Much better at the front with the rest of the FT'ers. Not a bad laugh down there. Wish I had seen Gilbert at Victoria. Bit of a legend is he?
Bert Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 I thought the lad in the red top was chiefvole off here? That's what Fox In Essex told me in the pub, 'cos he was the one singing all the songs in there? Thanks for Scarf eye C-Man. And yes, Kerrea is the ultimate legend.

Has he just pulled the ol' "my friend..." number? Crafty.
sdb Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 was this guy even a leicester fan? he just sounds like some **** trying to stir shit and give our fans a bad time. i really feel for anyone in his proximity - it's usually embarrassing enough sitting next to people shout bollocks about the game let alone pretty horrific events on the other side of the world (and in such a distasteful manner). fingers crossed this doesn't happen again
coale39 Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 I'd argue (and have) that it isn't.Without Davies we look a more defensive midfield set-up which has lacked creativity this season. We need a forward, a couple of midfield players, another "decent" centre-back and a keeper. I think it does lack creativity but not quality of depth. Adams, Chambers, Gradel and 'Clemence' are all good back up players. In attack, I dont really have any confidence in anyone but Howard and Fryatt and if it wasnt for loanees at the back we wouldnt have much quality in depth at all.
The People's Hero Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 The singing on the train on the way there was absolutely textbook.
Suffolk_fox Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 The singing on the train on the way there was absolutely textbook. It was pure class, the best time I have had on a match day in a long while! I think the locals enjoyed it?

Raj Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Why is a c unt singing about Mancunians, palestines, muslims and jews at a Leicester v Palace Game? Thats one of the reasons i rarely go away matches. Leicester has some dumb 'fans' who are an embarresment to the human race. Luckily the MAJORITY (ie ALOT of the FT'ers) a a very good bunch.

EDIT: Although to be fair, I might have got my wires crossed with the lads Andy was with second half.
Ric Flair Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Questions some people (me) were getting slammed for just one week or so ago.Two injuries in and we'll be a totally different (and much more ineffectual) side - and Tunch is the first. We simply do not have quality in depth. I've never understood this 'we have big squad' outside the first 15 or so it is incredibly weak, untested and/or injury prone. Agreed, but then what team at this level does have masses of depth in their squad. On paper we have, but we are yet to see our back up players shine, due to a number of reasons. 1) being they possibly aren't good enough, 2) being they've hardly had a chance due to our team picking itself for the majority of the season and 3) I can't fookin think of a third. I would like to see us bring in some new players, not only as back up for now, but to strengthen our squad for the future as we do need a much, much stronger squad for the Championship. Money needs to be spent. New goalie, new centre half and an attacking midfielder/forward, competent to play through the middle or on the wing.
Uncle Albert Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 If that bloke in the Red jumper in the 'Spoons' got a smack off someone last night I wouldnt off been surprised. Total penis in there, started singing Liverpool song's to his Chelsea mate. What a goon.
Tevez Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 I've just sat down for the first time since leaving for Palace.

Bert Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Same bloke who got ejected from the ground A Fox In Essex told me that was Chiefvole. Nice Boris Impression, AFIE. Also impressed with TPH's beard. Lildave started to stroke it, TPH replied, "give it twenty years"
Finnegan Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 I care about the FA Cup, and if nobody else does then it says alot about how football fans have changed in the past 5 or 10 years. The FA Cup is a big part of English football. You're missing the point, entirely. The point is that we don't have the squad size or the dominance in the League you think we do, enough to be able to throw ourselves into every competition with equal aplomb. The League matters, massively, more this season than it has done at any time in our recent history. We must get promoted. The FA Cup is an irrelevance, as is everything else other than winning the next League One fixture.
