Were people queuing at 7am to get tickets for that one :dunno:

I dont think so :giggle:

This is by far the biggest game of the season by a mile and im going.

:yahoo::dance::yahoo:

People like you will make this shit. I'm not gonna lie and say I go to every away game - I don't. I tend to go to about 6 or 7 - but that's funds based. You obviously couldn't care less. Season ticket for 11 years? - Your parents probably pay for it, and you probably decide you might aswell as you'd only be at home doing nothing.

Im sorry but who the fooking hell are you, repeat.

When you didn't have many posts, you wrote thusly: "I know I don't have many posts, but..." -

Hypocriticle swine.

:crylaugh:

Im having a laugh now actually :giggle:

No you're not.

ps. Do you look like what I think you look like? :giggle:

I think FT has invented a new form of football snobbery:

Away games are only good if it's a 200+ mile round trip that less than 1k fans go to.

Not neccessarily. Barnsley away in recent years has been excellent- we took 4k on both occasions and the atmosphere was fantastic. Forest and Villa away last season, according to those who went, were both great, and we took thousands. Even Scunthorpe this season was enjoyable.

It's not the amount of people going, it's the type of people going. If these people go, sing their hearts out for 90 minutes I will come on here and apologise for getting it wrong, but I can't see it being a great away day in terms of atmosphere.

Probably the best post in the thread.

Believe it or not I'd love for all ive said in this thread to be complete bollocks and to have a great day out, but I can't see it.

My main gripe is the fact that both Bristol and Hartlepool tickets went right to gen. Sale and didn't and probably won't sell out yet this game goes in 2 days, and its by a country mile the worst of the 3!! I actually think its a small discrace we're top of the league and can't sell out these 2 yet Dons and Leeds sell out like that, it'll be the same with Posh.

People at Oldham I'm sure will understand where this "right fans" argument comes from, our end there was fantastic.

But it was always going to happen.

Surely your not suprised.

We would sell 30,000 tickets for a play off final(hopefully not this year!) but then how many would go on a regular basis.

after that.

Not 30,000 thats for sure.

Any club would be in the same situation.

The HARDCORE always will go week in week out no matter where, and they deserve alot of credit.

I do however find critisism of the "part time away' fan alittle disconcerting.

I can understand people being sceptical about their reasons for going especially if they have missed out on these tickets but have been to the majority of other away games.

Surely if you are "hardcore' enough you will have the means and methods to get tickets you want(ie the pre payment away scheme!)

Fair play to those who have a ticket, to be honest theres part of me that is a little bit pissed off i left it too late to get a ticket.

It could be a shite day out for you Tommeh (look at 6k at Cov for instance), but at the end of the day its what you make of it with your mates. You can't change the people who go to the game. Personally if I was going in the away end I would move to towards the 800 that were sold this morning.

Ive tried to leave it as late as possible every away game so that my ticket is towards the general sale lot. Look at Swindon, Cheltenham, Scunny and Northampton where the majourity that stood bought tickets at a later date.

3 of my only away games this season - and I left buying the tickets late lol.

I imagine you stood for all of these, both side stands and behind the goal?

I find it f**king boring.

Before anyone assumes I'm being defensive I don't consider myself "a part time away supporter". I stand. I sing. And I go to games based on whether I'm available or not. Who we're playing rarely comes into it. Hence why I've seen Leyton Orient twice this season but only been to about 7 games or something.

But yeah, the constant abuse of the "part time" fan who might actually have other things to do in their life apart from watch football is repetitive and boring. It gives the impression there's a group of supporters with a massive superiority complex.

You're definition of a 'part time fan' is a bit off though.... Like you, I can't afford or even get to, a lot of City games but every one I can, I do go to without fail. I wouldn't call myself a part time fan! Its people that will moan and whine about seeing a 0-0 ("having paid to see some football!") and stay at home on a rainy Saturday because they just can be bothered, only to snag tickets for MK Dons because 'its a match that matters'. fook off, every match matters. Every match has an equal weighting of 3 points to be won and you should be trying to support your team regardless of the opposition.

If we win, I don't give a shit about how shit the atmosphere will be. Obviously I'd love a decent atmosphere too but if it doesn't happen then so be it.

The majority of the fans going are season-ticket holders/members, i say majority because I'm sure some people have borrowed season-tickets to get higher priority, so how can they be classed as part-time supporter just because they don't travel to the long distances.

I've been too 6 or 7 away games this season, and will try to get tickets for Millwall, Peterboro and Crewe. I'll happily admit I choose the away games I want to go too, and more often than not they are the 'big' games.

I tried to buy a ticket in the MK Dons end - when I gave my post code (which wasn't either an MK, LE, DE, CV etc post code) the lady on the phone said that all ticket requests from a non-MK post-code would have to be verified with Leicester City, and that if you are on Leicester City's database then you won't get your ticket. I didn't bother buying the ticket cos I knew I wouldn't get away with it.

I was at all 3 last season, and Barnsley away again the season before, they were good :P

Anyone got a ticket in the home end? Or, anyone got a ticket to sell? I'm gutted I missed the tickets for this one. I'm really tempted to buy one in their end.

You have to have an mk postcode. You will not get one! Sorry mate!
